Anders Mjos | South Hot-Cell | Standard Operation | | UCx#5 | Target inspection - target tube broken |
The target was inspected today.
It was found that the target tube had broken on both sides of the centre block in the region that contain target material. The Ta-foil heat shield was removed from the let side tube to allow inspection.

Grant Minor | ITE | Standard Operation | TM4 | LpUCx | Argon supply opened for ITE vent |
Around 7pm tonight I opened the main valve approximately 1.5 turns on the Argon bottle used for venting ITE, located in the ISAC electrical room. The cylinder pressure gauge increased to about 1500 psi. I adjusted the secondary regulator (pressure relief valve) until it read 2psi. I opened the needle valve in the vent line completely. The pressure on the pressure relief valve dropped slightly and I adjusted it again until it read 2psi. The Argon supply should be ready for venting ITE w/ TM4. The station should be vented around midnight to prepare for TM4 disconnect tomorrow morning. If there are problems with the venting process, an operator should check the pressure on the secondary regulator / pressure relief valve to ensure it is reading 2psi. - Grant Minor |

David Wang | ITE | Repair | TM4 | | Change ITE dump water circiut flow wheel |
I changed ITE dump water circuit flow wheel due to its poor performance. The new flow wheel works fine. The signal on electrical board is strong and constant. One shielding block on ITE was moved out for the job, and it has been moved back after the job.The ITE is ready to take proton beam. Travis was with me when i did the job. |

David Wang | Conditioning Station | Standard Operation | TM1 | TiC #3 | TM1 TiC #3 target heat shield helium pressure check is done. |
TM1 TiC #3 target heat shield helium pressure check is done at conditioning station. Applied 80 psi helium to HS circuit for 5 minutes . There is no response had been found on leak detector. The leak detector base LR 0.0x E-9 atm.cc/sec, and BP 0.0xE-4 torr. CS and TM1 vacuum are at low E-6 torr range. The HS circuit is leak tight. |
