|
TM#1 with Nb#6 is now in the conditioning station. The fields of the module at the south cell was 15.8mSv/hr. The move was uneventful. Don Dale was present
for the move locking out parts of the code so only one movement of the crane could be done at a time. |

TM#1 with Nb#6 from the conditioning station to the west target station, move was uneventful. Mike LaRoss was there today for move in place of Don Dale
working the PLC. |
Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 10:36, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#6, HV test April 23
|
A HV test was complete on TM1 with Friedhelm, David, and Myself. The module behaved as it has in other tests. The vacuum achieved was 1.6 x 10^-6
in the diagnostics box, 2.3 x 10^-6 in the containment box, and 8.6 x 10^-7 in the service cap. Maximum voltage without continuous sparking achieved was
27kV. Current was unstable varrying from 40 to 300 uA. This voltage was held for 10 minutes. |

Wednesday, May 02, 2012, 11:27, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, , ITW is ready for taking proton beam.
|
I moved 5 shielding blocks from ITE to ITW . I checked all ITW water signals strength and frequency in electrical room, and everything
looks fine. The ventilation system is set up for ITW. MAA is locked. ITW is ready for taking proton beam. |
Tuesday, June 05, 2012, 12:20, Bevan Moss, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, Ta#38, Target inserted into HC
|
Ta#38 has been placed into the south hot cell. Swipes of the tool port were taken there was a count of 600 on the floor and 150 on the walls and top. |
Tuesday, June 05, 2012, 15:06, Bevan Moss, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#6, Module move from ITW to SHC
|
TM1 has been moved from ITW to the SHC. The move did encounter some issues, one of the railings for preventing people from falling into the MAA
was hit with the containment box. This caused the module to rotate. The module rotated ~90 degrees before the problem was noticed. The module was backed
off from the post once noticed but had already freely rotated. The box was inspected with the cameras prior to being inserted into the SHC. No damage was |
Wednesday, June 06, 2012, 08:21, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, , TM1 disconnected in ITW
|
I disconnected TM1 in ITW yesterday morning. The general radioactive level in ITW over the TM top (300mm) is about 350 usv/hr. contacting level on TP1
and TP2 are 1.0-1.2 msv/hr. I took 0.22 msv dose .The module is moved to
south hot cell later and a shielding plug is put back to ITW. Everything is fine. |
Wednesday, June 06, 2012, 13:36, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, Ta#38, Target Change Nb#6 - Ta#38
|
Nb#6 was removed from TM1...it looked very clean.
Ta#38 was installed onto TM1...fit well.
Isaac Earle did this change with supervision in an effort to cross train. |
Wednesday, June 06, 2012, 14:33, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, Ta38, leak check heat shield circuit
|
Chad and I did a leak check on heat shield circuit after target is installed on TM1.The leak detector pumping down is smooth. The base leak rate is 0.0xE-9
atm.cc/sec. The base pressure is 0.0xE-4torr. Chad checked helium flow downstairs and sprayed helium to each joints for 2 seconds. The first joints is good
and there is no any response on leak detector.we double checked it again and got the same result. On the second joint, Chad sprayed helium 2second. After |
Thursday, June 07, 2012, 11:58, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, Ta38, Module Move from SHC to TCS
|
TM1 was moved from SHC to the TCS. The mode took roughly 1 hour. During the move the north east corner of the containment box caught slightly on the
flange of the vacuum vessel and then slipped off. The contact was minimal but should none the less be noted. After sliding off of the flange the module
did not crash into the other sides of the vacuum vessel, this is why I believe the contact was minimal. It should be noted that the corner of concern is |

|
I connected vacuum system to TM1 and conditioning station and started two turbo pumps yesterday. The pumping an d vacuum readings are verg good
so far(all below 5xE-6 torr). Helium pressure test on heat shield circuit will be fulfilled next week. |
Friday, June 08, 2012, 15:00, Don Jackson, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#6, Electrical Check Nb#6 at end of run

Friday, June 08, 2012, 15:03, Don Jackson, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, Ta38, Electrical Check on new Ta38 at hot cell
|
Megger checks were exceptionally high (good). Readings taken less than 2 hours after reading low values from end of run on Nb#6. Tests
on Ta38 will be repeated at conditioning station later. |

Connected leak detector to TM1 and CS vacuum system. The vacuum readings on TM1 and CS:PNG1 1.3 xE-6 Torr, IG1 4.7xE-7torr, IG4(diagnostic box)1.5xE-6
Torr. Leak detector base pressure:0.0xE-4 torr, base leak rate: 0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec. Applied 80 psi helium to heat shield circuit for 5 mins . There is
no response on leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight. |
