Entry  Thursday, September 24, 2015, 07:00, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Maintenance, TM4, Ta#46, Turned off TCS all vacuum pumps and water pumps.

TCS:MP1 back up pressure went up too high (700mtorr).I turned off all the pumps. The TCS is under vacuum still. TCS water  package cooling fans showed error on control page. The water pumps are stopped  also.

Restarted the vacuum pumps 40 minutes after stopping. Everything is back to normal. The MP1 back up pressure need to be monitored frequently before we have a final solution on this issue.

Reset the CS cooling package on roof and restarted the water  pumps. The system is running good so far.

The turbo pumps are on. TP1 and TP2 once again timed out and had to be restarted before they would stay on.

Entry  Wednesday, April 17, 2013, 15:17, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM3, N/A, Turbo Pumps Failed

Both Turbo pumps on TM3 have failed. They were both attempted to start in soft mode. TP2 could only achieve ~19kpm and TP1 ~10kpm. I have turned off the scroll pump and vented through the turbo pumps.

Entry  Tuesday, October 25, 2011, 16:57, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, , Turbo Pump 1 issues

Roughing on TM1 started at ~15:00 today by ~16:30 the module had reached a pressure of ~200 mTorr and the turbo pumps were turned on. TP1 failed to achieve normal operation and we running at approximately 4KRPM and 50W with 6.1 A of current draw. TP2 was able to achieve normal operation. The controller for TP1 was then powered off and back on but that failed to resolve the issue. The controllers for TP1 & 2 were then switched at which point TP1 again failed normal operation and TP2 achieved it, thus eliminating the controller as the issue. The turbo pumps have been turned off and the roughing pump left on for overnight in case Vacuum group wishes to do any additional diagnosis.

Entry  Monday, March 18, 2013, 12:03, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM4, CS Test Target #1, Turbo Pump 1 Failure and Venting

Over the weekend Turbo pump one failed. It was attempted to restart the turbo in soft start but that also failed. Although the Vacuum was good enough to operate both Turbos are required to pass commissioning. As such the pumps were turned off at ~10:00 today. Venting started at 12:00.

Entry  Tuesday, March 19, 2013, 13:49, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, CS Test Target #1, Tubros Started

Turbo Pumps have been started and are in normal operation. TP1 which has recently been replaced was started in soft start and had no issues. TP2 was started normally and tripped prior to reaching speed. It was left for a while and restarted. When restarted it was still at 17KRPM, it reached normal operation.

Leak check of tube heater circuit, containment box side was performed.

Initail check at tube heater block on source tray yeilded a response 60 sec after the 2 second spray of helium. The response was very small and recovered immediately.

This area was checked twice more but the reponse could not be recreated.

Joint at the waterblocks was tested with an intial 2 sec spray. No response after 60 sec.

Waterblock joint was tested again with a 4 second spray. No response after 60 sec.
