Yesterday Aaron, Isaac and Anders inspected the EZL connection from the service chase to the optics tray using the goose neck camera in SHC. No issues or shorts could be identified. Containment box was not removed.
Today David and Anders opened up two panels on the service cap and inspected the EZL connection. No issues or shorts could be identified. Photos available on DocuShare.
Next step will likely be to remove the containment box and inspect the optics tray.

The containment box was removed yesterday. One of the main insulators on the source tray had cracked at the rear close to the bolt to the source tray mounting plate (see photos using link above)
Troubleshooting continued this morning with disconnection of the optics tray from the module. The banana plug copper tube connection was removed form the optics tray side. With the connection removed, the measurement showed open line on top of the module indicating that the problem is on the optics tray |

TM#4 ,with UC#22, was moved from the south hot cell to the east target station. Upon lowering the module down it made contact with the IMC, At that point the module was removed and placed back in the south hot cell. The IMC was inspected and problem corrected and the module was moved back to the east target station without a problem.

The IMC (ITA0160) appears to have a dent in it from the contact with the Target Module. The pressure on the IMC was found to be about negative ~3 mmHg and was increased to ~20 mmHg to attempt to retract the IMC further away from the TM. This pressure is similar to the pressure used at the Conditioning Station. The bellows appears not to be symmetrically compressed. It should be inspected again and pressure checked and monitored for upcoming module moves. |

Shorted TGHT with new high current connector assembly and heated to 600 A. Temperature measured on half way point on cable ~ 70 deg C and on connector ~60 deg C at 600 A, 45 / 40 deg C at 400 A. Target Hall locked out during test |

The 2A2M19 beam profile monitor did not work and was e-faulted. After initial troubleshooting 2 blocks were removed form ITW to inspect the entrance module where the beam monitor is installed. The cable was found not to be connected and was quickly fixed. Blocks reinstalled. The work was done by Maico, Travis and Anders |

The water and electrical connections were disconnected today as protons remained off after power interruption during the weekend. Vacuum is still connected and operating.
The vacuum system are disconnected 2018-07-17. See attachment . |

ITW Entrance Module was leak checked yesterday with the support of Vacuum Group (Dimo & Edi). The leak detector was connected to primary backing vacuum line. A leak response was found near the bellow for the beam profile monitor on top of the Entrance Module. It could be confirmed today by actuating the monitor, that the leak was indeed at that location. The plan is to move the TM and Entrance Module out for target exchange and repair, respectively. Drawings of the device available on ITA0200and ITA5128 |

|
The heat shield water lines were not purged ahead of target exchange in the hot cell. This resulted in water leaking onto the new target assembly (heat shield) when the cooling lines were opened at top and bottom (for connecting leak detector). Excess water was wiped up with paper towels. |

UC#23 experienced short between target and heat shield as it was heated during operation. The inspection of the target after irradiation revealed that the left target leg was close to the heat shield opening and likely the cause of the short. Marks could be seen on the leg indicating contact. See attached photo. More photos are available on DocuShare |

Frank and Anders disconnected the water and electrical connections this afternoon after the target was conditioned over the weekend. The heater ramping program ran with the wrong gauge selected, causing the vacuum to go higher than planned. The module will be moved to ITW tomorrow. |
