USB was discovered to be in the reverse direction and will need to be change around to become operational
01/Dec/2020
USB was pulled from conduit
While attempting to re-pull the USB in the correction direction, the ethernet cable was damaged and need to be replaced,
(thanks to the Hubert's team for the wire help)
It was decided that it was too problematic to re-pull the wires with all other wires in the way. Therefore all the wires were removed from the operator control panel, and pulled so that the USB, USB power cord, and ethernet could be re-pulled all together.
However, even once all the wires were re-pulled and reconnected it was discovered that the USB had become damaged, and was removed again.
23/Dec/2020
- A new conduit was added through to the NHC, for only the USB
- USB was fed through, reconnected, and tested
- Putty will need to be added around the conduit to ensure a good seal into NHC |
Friday, January 22, 2021, 12:34, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, , , ITE HV test.
|
ITE annual HV test is done. No module in station. The bias power supply has been ramped up to 49KV on control page. We still have voltage limit issue on this PS at 48KV so it only can go to 47.7 KV on PS panel. No major spark during test.. The test result is same as last year test which was did in March 2020. |

|
Ramp up ITW bias to 57KV. no spark. 200uA leaking current at 57KV. The test is done without target module in station. ITW water circuits are looped in pit. EE , EL are switched off during the test. |

High active water are purged to holding tank at B2 level. There should be around 48 gallons are purged out of system. No purging on dump circuits on both ITW/ ITE. |
Wednesday, February 10, 2021, 11:34, David Wang, Assembly/Bench Test, Standard Operation, , , Old resin can and 2A window RH clamp field measurement at silo.
|
Old resin can: 0.5 meter 360 degree rotation above silo area, 350u sv/hr. On contact 3.0 to 3.5 msv/hr. It was replaced during 2017 winter shut down, and stored in silo since then.
2a window RH clamp: 0.5 meter, 160 usv/hr. On contact, hottest spot 3.5msv/hr, general,1.8 msv/hr.
Both of them were raise out of storage silo with TH crane. Pole monitor was used for field check. |

|
TM2 at SMP under vacuum. TM4 at silo. Frank and I did the tests. Everything is fine on TM4 check. On TM2, all mega test at 500V are around 200K ohms which is so abnormal. We will move TM2 to TCS and start investigation there. |

Tuesday, February 16, 2021, 14:00, Adam Newsome, Crane, Development, , , Crane pendant upgrade
|
The crane pendant for the main hoist was upgraded to a FLEX EX2 style pendant by Canco Cranes. The installation work was performed by Matt at Canco, supervised by Tom Kauss, David Wang, and Adam Newsome. Installation work was performed in two phases since the initial installation did not provide adequate range and an antenna issue needed to be resolved (I2021-01-14-1, and I2021-02-16-1).
Items installed include:
- New pendant
- New antennae
- New receiver box, mounted on main crane control panel in the crane control room
The old receiver control box will be kept for some time in case there is a need to revert to the previous system for some reason.
The new system was tested by David Wang - including using the pendant at the far end of the target hall where range was previously an issue. Everything is reported to be in working condition. Remote mode is functioning as expected.

|
TM3 old source tray, old target hall high active water resin tank, and old 2A window RH clamp are transferred from TH to cyclotron lower vault basement 10 and 10A location for storage. They are placed beside and in front of old TM1 and TM2 source tray boxes which stored there in 2018. |

Edi and I inspected roughing pump ITM MP1, primary backup pump ITHMP1, and secondary backup pump ITHMP2. We checked oil level and color on all pumps. Refilled lubricant to ITMMP1. ITHMP1 and MP2 oil level is fine. ITH MP1 oil color is darker than MP2. But, both them are ok still. Shielding block has been restored after the job. |

TCS leak check: TCS IG1S1.6 XE- 6 torr. LD 0.0XE-9atm.cc/sec.We used a long pole to spray helium to TCS vacuum seals on diagnostic box and vessel body. Lots helium have been sprayed around the check area. no leak has been found. |

Thursday, March 04, 2021, 16:30, Isaac Earle, North Hot-Cell, Development, , , NHC gas delivery lines leak checked
|
The North Hot Cell gas delivery lines (labeled 1, 2, and 3 on the hot and cold side panels) were leak checked today. 5psi helium gas was applied to each line in turn with the appropriate solenoid valve opened and a Staubli connector with plastic tubing and the leak check wand attached to the matching connector inside the cell. The end of the wand was sealed using tape. The Agilent G8601 leak detector was used on "sniffing" mode to check for escape of helium gas from all joints and connectors. With the sniffing line attached the leak detector test port pressure was 3.9E-1 Torr and the baseline leak rate was 1.7E-6 Torr*L/s. There was no response while testing all of the three lines. For all three there was a leak detector response after disconnecting the Staubli fitting, which confirmed that the lines were properly charged with helium. |
