Monday, April 11, 2016, 13:44, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, , I stopped TCS and TM4 vacuum pumps.
|
The TM4 is still under vacuum at TCS. It will be vented tomorrow morning.
I disconnected TM4 vacuum system at TCS. |
Tuesday, April 12, 2016, 11:41, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, TM4, , TM4 has been connected in ITE.
|
Tm4 has been connected in ITE. The ITE and TM4 is under roughing now. ITE
Turbo-pumps have been started. Everything is fine. |

Thursday, April 14, 2016, 07:50: RGA on
Friday, April 15, 2016, 08:09 : Ratio between water and air is higher than normal (indicating possible air leak). See attachment. 3.5 more
H2O than N2. (Ratio in TM3 Nov 2015 was 82:1) |
Thursday, April 14, 2016, 12:56, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, , 5 shielding blocks have been moved to ITW.
|
The ITW is configured to take proton beam. |
Monday, April 18, 2016, 09:07, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, , venting TCS with argon.
|
Anders reported a possible air leak on TM2 and TCS by watching RGA this morning. I found the quick connector on F terminal on the top of the module
is leaking air. It is only used as "X" terminal for Febiad without water. So, it should be blind capped instead of installing a quick connector.
It was installed with a blind cap before. I borrowed it for leak check on coil lines at SHC, but forgot to put it back right away. Instead, I put |
Friday, April 22, 2016, 14:07, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , 2016 Winter Shut Down Target Hall Schedule
|
Weekly update. This is the last update on 2016 winter shut down schedule. The new TH schedule for beam130 will be posted weekly after this. All
jobs in winter shut down schedule were finished on time.

Monday, April 25, 2016, 12:18, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, , , Target Hall schedule for beam schedule 130 (Apr- Sep) 7x
|
Post MS project and Excel target hall schedule for beam schedule 130 see attachments 1,2
Update TH schedule 130 with TM3 jobs involved in.see attachments 4,5.
2016-04-29. Weekly update schedule according to changes. See attachments 6,7. |
Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 10:47, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, , TM2 leak check at TCS, water test.
|
The following water circuits in TM2 are connected at TCS and running with water now : target oven+ - ( one circuit), tube heater+ -( one circuit),
coil1 and 2(one circuit), MSP, and EE. The HS and window are open circuits now so they can not be supplied with water. During the check before
we knew HS and window circuit were close to perfectly sealed. So, The test result should not be affected without them |
Thursday, April 28, 2016, 06:28, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Maintenance, TM2, , TCS water system are turned off.
|
TCS water system worked fine overnight. I turned off TCS water system at 6:16 AM this morning. Start of purging TM2 water lines for helium pressure
test again this morning.
2016-4-28 7:58AM. Disconnected TM2 water lines at TCS. Purged them with compression air each for 5 minutes. |
Friday, April 29, 2016, 08:01, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Maintenance, TM2, , TM2 leak check at TCS, helium pressure test
|
Anders and I finished the most part of TM2 water lines helium pressure test yesterday.I list the system parameters and test result as below:
TCS IG1: 9.8XE-8 torr, TCS IG2: 9.6Xe-7 torr, TCS IG1S: 3.5XE-9 torr, TCS CG1A: 10 m torr
Helium pressure: 70 psi. Test time: 5 minutes for each individual circuit. 1 hour for all lines together test. |
Friday, April 29, 2016, 10:06, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , I switched off TCS and TM2 vacuum pumps.
|
I switched off TCS and TM2 vacuum pumps. The TM2 will be disconnected at TCS today and moved to silo on next Monday. |
Wednesday, May 04, 2016, 11:14, Isaac Earle, North Hot-Cell, Development, , , North Hot Cell Scope Decision
|
A meeting was held on May 4, 2016 to determine the scope of the North Hot Cell project. The following was agreed upon by those in attendance:
The NHC will be a designated target change hot cell. It will be capable of performing all routine target operations (target removal/installation,
leak check, electrical check, video inspection, post irradiation examination, target waste packaging and removal) using the same method currently used |
Wednesday, May 04, 2016, 12:01, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, , , Target Hall schedule for beam schedule 130 (Apr- Sep)
|
Update schedule weekly. See attachment 1,2,3. |
Monday, May 09, 2016, 08:43, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM3, , I reinstalled all the side panel on TM3 service cap.
|
They were moved for TM3 inspection job last week. All the bolts on the panel are hand tight only now since they will be removed out for camera installation
during next stage inspection. |
Tuesday, May 10, 2016, 13:54, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM2, , SHC, TM2 leak check on window line and HS line.
|
Chad and I leak checked the TM2 HS and window lines after new target installation. The window line was very easy pumped down on LD. But, The HS
line only could pumped to 2-3 torr at first. Chad changed the VCR gaskets on HS line(target). It solved the problem. The LD could pumped both of
Window and HS lines to the bottom scale. Chad sprayed lots helium around the VCR joints. No leak has been found. WE will do helium pressurizing test |
Wednesday, May 11, 2016, 13:15, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Maintenance, TM2, , TCS tank top flange seal is changed this morning
|
I changed TCS tank top flange seal(o-ring 42.00"ID X 0.275" DIA) this morning before TM2 was moved to TCS. |
Wednesday, May 11, 2016, 13:16, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , TM2 and TCS vacuum system has been connected.
|
TM2 and TCS vacuum system has been connected. I started all turbo pumps. Everything is good so far. |
Friday, May 13, 2016, 10:08, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , Helium pressure test on TM2 HS and window line at CS with new Lp Ta target
|
These two lines are passed helium pressure test this morning. The LD base leak rate 0.0 X E-9 atm.cc/sec. The base pressure 0.0 X E-4 torr. Helium pressure
70 psi. applied helium to both line for 5minutes each. No response on LD during the test. |
