I moved 5 shielding blocks to ITW this morning .I checked the water signals in electrical room before the moving, and everything is fine. The argon venting systemin ITW and electrical room is ready also.

Entry  Wednesday, September 11, 2013, 13:43, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Development, TM3, , Started 3 turbo pumps on CS for TM3

TM3 has been connected in CS.Three turbo- pumps have been started. The pumping down is fine so far.

Entry  Friday, September 13, 2013, 07:49, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Development, TM3, , TM3 water lines leak check at CS TM3_water_lines_leak_check_at_CS.pdf

I leak checked TM3 water lines at CS with 60 psi and 80psi helium. The base leak rate is 5.0xe-9 atm.cc/sec. Each circuit 3 minutes helium pressurizing for each time test. No any respose had been found on leak detector during the test. See attachment

Entry  Friday, September 13, 2013, 08:05, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM4, , TM4 coil 1 leak check in SHC TM4_coil_1_leak_check.pdf

Leak checked TM4 coil1 in SHC with Isaac . The leak detector only can pump down to 1.5xE-7 atm.cc/sec. The leak detector got the response once the helium valve is open, not even close to the leak area. The leak detector got a very big response when the helium probe was put close to the coil terminal block on target front side and spray helium for 2 clicks. The leak detector got a small  response when the probe was put close to water block area and spray helium for 2 clicks. The leak is located on the front target side coil line but not from water blocks. The leak is too big to be further pin pointed by this method. See attachment

This morning, Bevan and I leak checked window circuit on TM3 at SHC after containment box was installed. It took about 20minutes to pump down the circuit to  0.0xE-9atm.cc/sec. Bevan sprayed helium on both VCR joints and a final splash. No response had been found on leak detector.

Entry  Friday, October 25, 2013, 06:58, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM4, , Leak check on TM4 target heat shield

Maico and I leak checked HS circuit after Chad installed the target. The circuit was a little bit difficult o pump down because of residue water moister inside. But once the moisture was pumped out, the pumping down was smooth and fast. The base leak rate 0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec, base pressure 0.0xE-4 torr. Maico checked helium flow before the leak test. Then,He sprayed helium to all 3 VCR fiitings on target with 2 seconds on each one, He also flushed 10 seconds helium around the target. There were no any response during all these test time on leak detector. He checked the helium flow again after the test  and confirmed the helium flow.  The HS circuit is leak tight.

Bevan and I installed 2 turbo pumps on TM2. The o- ring flanges on TM2 had been cleaned before the installation.

Entry  Tuesday, November 12, 2013, 09:51, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, TM3, , TM3 disconnection

TM3 has been disconnected this morning and  purged all HV water lines. I found the power plug for all turbo pump fans wasnt connected  during the last run. That maybe the one of the reason on that ITE TP3 failure.

Entry  Wednesday, November 13, 2013, 10:01, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, , TM2 leak check at conditioning station TM2_leak_check_at_CS_2013-11-13.pdf

I leak checked TM2 at conditioning station this morning. All air to vacuum seals on the top of the module are good. All water lines are pressured with 60 psi helium for minutes each. One of the tube heater + water line( 2lines for tube heater + for supply and return) has a huge response on 60 psi helium pressurizing. The leak rate went from 6.0xE-9atm.cc/sec to maximum leak rate in 5 seconds and I saw a pressure increasing either. when I pressurize the other side tube heater + line ,the leak detector also had a response, but it is slower than first side .Since the top of the water adaptor isn't sealed , so I think the leak should be in one line only. All other water lines are leak tight since I didnt see any obvious response on leak detector at 5 to 6x E-9 atm.cc/sec which is very low on leak rate.

Entry  Tuesday, November 19, 2013, 14:24, David Wang, ITE, Repair, , , ITE TP3
Hi all, The old  ITE TP3 pump is moved out and the new pump is  in postion .Since this time I used a new holding ring(1 piece) insead of old 2 pieces holding ring which are thicker than new ring, the old holding  bolts are a little bit too long for the thread holes on the  ITE exit 1. I have to find the right length bolts for this new holding ring. The pump is in position, and all connection are done except the holding bolts. I will put the new bolts on and tight them when I connect the TM4 in ITE next time. So, If I am not here at that time and you need to connect TM4 and start the pumps in ITE, please check all the bolts are tighted before you do anything.

Chad and I leak checked TM4 heat shied water circuit at SHC. The pumping down was very good.Base leak rate 0.0xe-9 atm.cc/sec. BP 0.0xe-4torr. Sprayed helum twice on both VCR fittings. There is no response on leak detector.  The circuit is leak tight.
