Entry  Thursday, March 30, 2017, 11:21, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM4, , Leak check on TM4 Ta(-) water lines in service cap

Leak check on TM4 Ta(-) water lines in service cap is done. LD base LR after 50minutes pumping down:0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec. base pressure: 0.0XE-4 torr. I sprayed lots helium on welding stems on Ta(-) line in service cap including stems in blue nylon insulator and stems to service tray.  no any response has been foun on LD. The Ta(-) line in service cap is leak free.

Totally panel open and leak check time is about 12minutes. Argon vented TCS before leak check this morning.

Entry  Wednesday, March 29, 2017, 14:11, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, , small leak on TM4 Ta(-) water line. TM4_2017_leak_check_in_ITE.png

A small leak has been found on TM4 Ta(-) which is marked as "B" on terminal blocks. The LD base Leak rate is 1.2XE-8 atm.cc/sec. 70psi helium has been applied to Ta(-) water line for 3minutes. The leak rate went up to 2.5xE-6 atm.cc/sec and stabilized there. Anders found a helium response on RGA helium reading during the same time. This confirms the leak is real. Other lines are leak checked today also. They are good still. All TM4 water lines were leak checked in ITE in 2017 January. They  were all good at 0.0 X E-9 atm.cc/sec. See attachment e-log.

The pail containing window was transferred from the Storage Vault to the Cyclotron Vault Tunnel Storage 2017 Mar 24. It was placed in a brick bunker along the north wall and marked with item #1434. RPG storage form is attached.

Highest field measured at 0.5 m was 3000 uSv/h with an estimate of 4000 uSv/h on contact with the pail. Pail exterior was not contaminated. See attached storage form for details.

Strange noise and a burning brake type smell was observed yesterday by David and Anders when running the main 20 ton hoist locally.  A service call was arranged today with Gordon Crane.  No major issues were found.  A more detailed summary is in the attached e-mail correspondence.  Gordon Crane will issue a formal report, but they recommend replacing both sets of brake disks and brake calipers. - Grant

Entry  Thursday, March 16, 2017, 12:24, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Maintenance, , , West 'Z' motion cable replacement

The west 'Z' motion cable on the east manipulator has successfully been replaced. The job took slightly less than an hour (including inspection of the scissor table hoses) and I received 0.075mSv. Scissor table hoses appear to be fine and also didn't "shed" or flake at all when checked by hand.
