All power supplies tripped on high conductivity of the cooling water < 5 MOhm, It is not clear if this was caused by a spark or vice versa. According to the strip tool for this signal the resistance of the water went up. There might be a fault in this signal. I do not have permission to force this signal so I keep the heaters off. We should revisit the interlock conditions, this signal should not be included in the interlocks for the heaters. Both target and tube seem to be still o.k. As I do not want to destroy the target I keep the heaters off and restart the high voltage only.

The target was inspected by Chad and Anders in the Hot Cell. Electrical megger tests were done during the assembly. It was found that Insulators No 3 (ITD0311) and No 2 (ITD0310) failed to hold voltage after the run.

TM#4 with NiO#1 has been moved from the south hot cell to the conditioning station. Move went well.

Entry  Wednesday, September 05, 2012, 14:40, Travis Cave, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, NiO#1, Electrical check TM#4_NiO#1.PDF

See attached PDF for details. 60kV Common to the target is low at 343k but I've been told will work. Test will be done again on Friday after it has sat a few days under vacuum.

The NiO #1 spent target was placed into storage today. It is in pail number 01 (101 on Vault Status page) and located in slot 4A of the vault. It was 35.5 mSv/hr upon removal from the south hot cell. See attached PDF for vault details.

Chad and i did a leak check on TM4 heat shield circuit with new NiO#1 target installed. It took about 40 mins(much longer than usual) to pump down the circuit to leak rate 0.6x E-9atm.cc/sec and 0.0x E-4 torr o leak detector.

All vacuum lines and joints which connected to the leak detector had been helium sprayed and they are leak  tight.Chad sprayed helium on each VCR joints for 2 seconds every time. During 1min waiting time, there is no any response on leak detector. Chad repeated same test again for double checking and we got same result. Chad finally flushed the helium around the target heat shield for 10 seconds.we waited for 1minute and found no response on the leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight at this stage. I will do a helium pressure test on this circuit when TM4 is in CS and under vacuum.

UOx was removed from TM4 yesterday and NiO#1 installed.

Video was taken.

Main stand-off insulators continue to deteriorate.

Entry  Friday, September 07, 2012, 08:54, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, NiO #1, TM4 NiO #1 target heat shield helium pressure check is done.

leak detector pumped down to 0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec, and 0.0xE-4 torr. All high vacuum gauge readings at CS and TM4 are at low -6 range from 2.2xE-6torr to 4.2x E-6 torr. Applied 80 psi helium  to heat shield circuit for 5minutes and there is no any response on leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight.

Entry  Wednesday, September 12, 2012, 07:00, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, TM4, NiO #1, ITM4 in ITE connected and pumping down

TM4 had been connected in ITE. Six turbo pump had been started . thepumpming diwn is very good so far. The water interlock check on ITE and TM4 had been finished and everything is good. All water signals are strong and constant by visually checking.

Entry  Tuesday, October 09, 2012, 10:35, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, TM4, NiO #1, Disconnected TM4 in ITE.

I disconnected TM4 in ITE this morning. The heat shield circuit has been purged with air.
