Thursday, October 26, 2017, 09:56, Anders Mjos, ITE, Repair, TM4, SiC#37, Leak on multi pin connector feedthrough
|
On maintenance day Tuesday, the roughing of the target station could not go below 1.5 Torr. A brief troubleshooting on Tuesday was unsuccessful in determining
the cause. Leak checking continued on Wednesday by David and Anders. A leak was finally found on the multi pin connector feedthrough due to the seal between
the connector and flange on top of the nylon insulator. Upon re-tightening the connector, the leak could be stopped and the module pumped down to allow |

|
TM#4 with SiC#37 has been moved from the conditioning station to the east target station. A measurement was taken on TM#4 as it was being removed
from the conditioning station, the location was on the side of the service tray access panel approx one metre away and the cover fully exposed, the reading
was 750uSV/hr. |

Two minor chips in the main 60 kV insulators on the source tray was inspected today by Anders, Tom and Aurelia. The chips are small enough that
they should not be a problem. See photos for details. |

Chad and I leak checked TM4 HS line after new target is installed yesterday. No leak has been found. Also, I helium pressurized the HS line at TCS this
morning. TM4 HS line is good on this test. The TM4 gas line configuration on TM4 top is leak check as well. No problem. |

Thursday, October 12, 2017, 08:48, Travis Cave, Spent Target Vault, Standard Operation, , , Field measurements of the old source trays
|
Field measurements were taken of the old source trays. The old TM#2 source tray had a minimum field value of 0.50 mSv/hr and a maximum of 1.18
mSv/hr through 360 deg of rotation. The box was rotated around three times and put back in the vault. TM#1 old source tray was also removed and measured
as well the field values for it were a minimum of 0.52 mSv/hr and a maximum of 1.15 mSv/hr through 360 deg of rotation. The box was rotated around three |

Friday, October 06, 2017, 11:21, Isaac Earle, North Hot-Cell, Development, , , ISAC-1 active sump drain pipe modified
|
The 4" PVC drain line in the ISAC-1 active sump was modified so that the drain pipe terminates below the low level water line of the automatic pump-out
system. This will prevent backflow of sump gasses into the SHC, NHC, or TCS space if the air pressure in any of those rooms are lower than the sump
air pressure. The details of the modification were specified by Mechanical Services Group, and the work was done by Paul Jensen. This system |
