David Wang | Conditioning Station | Maintenance | TM1 | UCx12 | Huge Leak on TM1 contaiment box window. |
There is a huge leak on TM1 containment box window. I did a 70 psi helium pressure test on all TM1 water circuits this morning. The LD base leak rate was 0.0XE-9 atm.cc/sec. When applying the 70 psi helium to containment box window circuit, the leak rate on LD jumped to 1XE-4 atm.cc/sec in 5 seconds.I released the helium source right away,t but the conditioning station is full of helium molecules already, and the leak rate on LD stays at 1xE-5 atm.cc /sec. The leak on this circuit is huge. Other water lines are good. |

chad fisher | South Hot-Cell | Maintenance | | | Hot cell Entry February 25 2015 |
See attached report.
Summary:
Radio problems just before entry to cell. Inspection afterwards revealed batteries charge but battery in one radio shorts out after a couple loads/cycles.
Fields in hot cell range from 630 uSv/h @ 1 m to 1.5mSv/h @ 1m. Contributing to the fields is the febiad coil line removed from TM4 in the south west corner of the hot cell.
Contamination/particulate on table as mostly black colored and of a fairly substantial size, but seamingly easy to collect. Distinquishable pieces of target material present.
Hot cell window show no sign of leaking on the inside of cell.
Pre-filter changed.
Manipulators lubricated.
Hot cell entry procedures appear to still be fairly successful in minimizing contamination migration from the hot cell.

3 swipes of the south hot cell table were taken from the target hall through the roof hatch (2 standard, 1 alpha).
Initial results of the table swipes are pending however swipes of the pool tool and end effector are clean, 0 counts, booties, gloves clean.
Fall arrest equipment has a puzzling 6000 counts, and suit 500 counts.

chad fisher | South Hot-Cell | Maintenance | | | Hot Cell Maitenance |
Entered south hot cell Wednesday and replaced the pre-filter air filter as well as the front two light bulbs. Also removed two bags of compressible garbage, one bag of metal, and of course the bagged air filter (as Joe M. expressed as interest in havung it).
Inital checks found approximately 4000 cpm on the cell side of the temporary Al. panel used during the cell entry, 2000 cpm on the tacky mats layed out beside the work area but nothing on the floor under the plastic that had been layed down for the job.

chad fisher | South Hot-Cell | Maintenance | | | Hot Cell Fields |
I have re-measured the fields in the hot cell. Fields at shield door Al cover are 101 uSv\h, in cell at the east manipulator are 245 uSv\h, and the largest field is 1.84 mSv\h...this appears to be the high current fasteners removed from the last target. |
