|
I leak checked TM3 water lines at CS with 60 psi and 80psi helium. The base leak rate is 5.0xe-9 atm.cc/sec. Each circuit 3 minutes helium pressurizing
for each time test. No any respose had been found on leak detector during the test. See attachment |

|
Leak checked TM4 coil1 in SHC with Isaac . The leak detector only can pump down to 1.5xE-7 atm.cc/sec. The leak detector got the response once the helium
valve is open, not even close to the leak area. The leak detector got a very big response when the helium probe was put close to the coil terminal block
on target front side and spray helium for 2 clicks. The leak detector got a small response when the probe was put close to water block area and spray |
Monday, September 23, 2013, 13:55, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM3, , window circuit leak check
|
This morning, Bevan and I leak checked window circuit on TM3 at SHC after containment box was installed. It took about 20minutes to pump down the circuit
to 0.0xE-9atm.cc/sec. Bevan sprayed helium on both VCR joints and a final splash. No response had been found on leak detector. |
Friday, October 25, 2013, 06:58, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM4, , Leak check on TM4 target heat shield
|
Maico and I leak checked HS circuit after Chad installed the target. The circuit was a little bit difficult o pump down because of residue water moister
inside. But once the moisture was pumped out, the pumping down was smooth and fast. The base leak rate 0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec, base pressure 0.0xE-4 torr.
Maico checked helium flow before the leak test. Then,He sprayed helium to all 3 VCR fiitings on target with 2 seconds on each one, He also flushed 10 seconds |

I moved 5 shielding blocks from ITW to ITE. The ITW is configured to take proton beam. |
Wednesday, November 06, 2013, 10:41, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM2, , Installed 2 turbopumps on TM2
|
Bevan and I installed 2 turbo pumps on TM2. The o- ring flanges on TM2 had been cleaned before the installation. |
Tuesday, November 12, 2013, 09:51, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, TM3, , TM3 disconnection
|
TM3 has been disconnected this morning and purged all HV water lines. I found the power plug for all turbo pump fans wasnt connected during
the last run. That maybe the one of the reason on that ITE TP3 failure. |
Wednesday, November 13, 2013, 10:01, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, , TM2 leak check at conditioning station
|
I leak checked TM2 at conditioning station this morning. All air to vacuum seals on the top of the module are good. All water lines are pressured with
60 psi helium for minutes each. One of the tube heater + water line( 2lines for tube heater + for supply and return) has a huge response on 60 psi helium
pressurizing. The leak rate went from 6.0xE-9atm.cc/sec to maximum leak rate in 5 seconds and I saw a pressure increasing either. when I pressurize the |

|
Hi all, The old ITE TP3 pump is moved out and the new pump is in
postion .Since this time I used a new holding ring(1 piece) insead of old 2 pieces holding ring which are thicker than new ring, the old holding
bolts are a little bit too long for the thread holes on the ITE exit 1. I have to find the right length bolts for this new holding ring. The pump |

Wednesday, December 04, 2013, 11:05, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM4, Ta41#, I disconnected TM4 in ITW
|
I disconnected TM4 in ITW .The job took about 20minutes and I got 0.11 msv dose. |
Wednesday, December 04, 2013, 11:15, David Wang, ITE, Repair, TM4, , New bolts are installed on ITE TP3.
|
I installed 8 new bolts(3/8-16 UNC x1.25 STL) on the ITE TP3. The ITE TP3 replacement job is done. Everything is connected back to the pump. and
it is ready for starting. |
Thursday, December 05, 2013, 14:55, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM4, , Leak check on TM4 target heat shield
|
Chad and I leak checked TM4 heat shied water circuit at SHC. The pumping down was very good.Base leak rate 0.0xe-9 atm.cc/sec. BP 0.0xe-4torr. Sprayed
helum twice on both VCR fittings. There is no response on leak detector. The circuit is leak tight. |
Thursday, December 05, 2013, 14:57, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, TM4, , Connected TM4 in ITW
|
I connected TM4 in ITE. All turbo pumps have been started and wok fine including new TP3. Everything is good so far. |

Travis and I removed 4 shielding blocks located on top of pre-seperator in TH. This is a job for ITE harp 9 re-installation after it is repaired
. The blocks move are successful. |
Tuesday, February 04, 2014, 08:04, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM2, , Leak check TM2 tube heater (+) water line.
|
Chad and I leak checked TM2 tube heater(+) water line yesterday afternoon. The water line was difficult to pump down on base leak rate, but LD
base pressure was fine . The base pressure on leak detector was pumped to 0.0XE-4 torr quickly. The base leak rate only could be pumped to
4.5 xE-8 atm.cc/sec after 1 hour waiting time. All vacuum connections to leak detector in the target hall were leak checked and they were good. Chad |
