Bevan Moss | Conditioning Station | Repair | TM4 | CS Test Target #1 | TGHT PS Failure |
The Model of the Power Supply (PS) is TSQLG 480-20/1500 and serial number is 2755.02.01.01.09.
We went to test the PS and supplied the required 480V and turned the local switch to on. At this point nothing happened, the controls screen didn’t light up nothing. We tried to run the PS in remote mode as that is what it had previously been set at and again there was no response. At this point I called the electrician the check that we were in fact supplying 480V. He checked all the way to the contactor inside of the PS (see attached picture). He also checked the 3 larger fuses and 6 smaller ones, they have not failed.
I have inquired with Jens Lassen who is more familiar with these PS and he has not had this issue before. He is going to have another look at the PS with the electrician specifically checking the 24VDC for the control board. Any further information or checks you could provide would be very helpful.
This PS is needed for commissioning of a system and unfortunately this failure has come at a very in opportune time. Although the PS is show to be several years old we have not actually used it aside from some minor tests ie does it turn on (it has previously). I have phoned the manufacture to determine what else can be check and what the next steps are. Werner requested that I send an email (completed) so he could give it to their engineers. |

e-fault submitted and Niel Wong has been contacted.
Niel Wong came and had a look at the system. We decided to close the circuit as the water is no longer used with the new power supplies. The circuit will be monitored, but not repaired unless it is needed again.

Due to the water leak, the expansion tank needed topping up. It was filled from 14 in to 20 in. See work permit I2014-12-15-2. |

Carla Babcock | Conditioning Station | Repair | | | TCS:TBHT taken as replacement for ITE:TBHT |
During the last ITE run with the SiC#44 target, the ITE:TBHT controls card was fried twice. The first time we put in our spare, and the second time we just continued to run without controls readback. For the C#4 run starting Oct. 19, we used the conditioning station supply. As soon as one of the other supplies is fixed, we will install it in the conditioning station. The equipment list (https://triumfoffice365-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/g/personal/cbabcock_triumf_ca/EQPffP4p1P9JqEDWIHGRPfsBVDSQjMCv-M8ZNg4ngkyGHw?e=fnLVYe) tracks these movements. |

Bevan Moss | Conditioning Station | Repair | TM3 | N/A | TCS:DIF2 broken |
The flow meter on the primary side (TCS:DIF2) of the conditioning station is broken. I investigated and there is flow, the gauge is not fouled, and the PLC does read back when current supplied. The gauge is also reciving 24V but the output is 0V and 0mA. I will contact ESC and the supplier. |
