The containment box has been removed from TM4 in prep for the IGLIS wiring job.

Entry  Friday, March 05, 2021, 09:12, Matthew Gareau, North Hot-Cell, Development, TM3, , Containment box door removal and swivel arm test Containment_door_arm_testing_on_TM3.jpg

First thing I entered into the NHC to install to the target kart mounting clip, and remove excess tools and materials from the hotcell

After the TM3 without a target was lowered into the NHC.

Once inside, with the use of the manipulators, I was able to remove the containment box door, place it on the swivel arm, move the arm out of the way, after the door was return to the containment box and reattached.

Containment box has been removed in preparation for wire replacement.

Entry  Wednesday, March 27, 2013, 11:49, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, TM4, Sic LIS-RFQ , Connected TM4 in ITE

TM4 has been reconnected to ITE after the module moving. The roughing is started . The water will be supplied to ITE after  testing  the water  pumps . The water interlock check will be done on next week also.

Entry  Tuesday, June 24, 2014, 15:14, Anders Mjos, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM3, TiC#4, Conductor insulator broken close to right TGHT terminal TiC#4_Broken_Insulator.pdf

When the Containment Box was opened today by Chad for a target change, we found the conductor insulator block B (ITD0054) to be broken close to the right TGHT terminal. Chad was nevertheless able to remove the target. See DocuShare and attached file for photos.

An attempt to replace the insulator will be made tomorrow with a spare.

A small sticky piece, likely off plastic material, was found next to the left main source tray insulator. The piece was removed from the Containment Box. See link above and attachment for photos.

Ceramic conductor blocks ITD0053 and ITD0054 were replaced on TM2. Initially, only ITD0053 was to be replaced but after removing it it was noticed that ITD0054 (the larger conductor block behind it) was also broken, fractured through the helicoil that retained ITD0053 (see attached picture).

Both the old 53 and 54 fell into multiple pieces upon removal (see attached photo).

Fasteners holding 53 and 54 to the mounting plate and each other had loose washer on them. I have never seen this done before and, after checking drawing ITA3560 (extraction column Assembly) and confirming they have not been called out, I removed them before reinstalling.

Thursday, April 23, 2015, 18:42 : One minor spark observed. Starting cool down at 12 and 9 A/min

Thursday, April 23, 2015, 19:51 : Heaters and BIAS off

Friday, April 24, 2015, 08:21 : Water cooling off

Thursday, November 09, 2017, 10:40: BIAS / EL to 30 / 15 kV. 400 uA on BIAS

Bias was stable for 1 hour. Handed over to RIB ops for heater conditioning.

Cooling water not yet connected to TM.

High leakage current still observed. 200 uA at 22 kV. Did not go past 25 kV.

Friday, September 29, 2017, 14:05: Started heater ramping to 580 / 200 A at 1 A/min

Friday, September 29, 2017, 14:09: BIAS / EZL / EE at 20 / 10 / 1.5 kV. BIAS current at 90 uA

Monday, October 02, 2017, 10:29: Accidentally set BIAS current limit to 0 A (step size too large) at 28 kV. This also caused the TGHT to got to 0 A. Recovered to 580 A in 10 - 15 s.

Monday, October 02, 2017, 12:07: Ramping down heaters at 2 A / min

Entry  Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 16:43, Anders Mjos, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, Ta#52, Conditioning Ta#52 Ta#52.docx

NEW HV cable for BIAS installed earlier this week.

Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 16:42: BIAS at 20 kV

Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 16:46: BIAS at 30 kV, EZL at 15 kV

Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 17:00: BIAS at 35 kV, EZL at 17.5 kV

The voltage response on TBHT and TGHT changed as the target was heated up. This was later determined to be due to target shorting to heat shield and the grounding of the power supplies being achieved at the HV pedestal in the target hall and not in the HV enclosure as is done online. When this was changed, the target operated normally again.
