Entry  Thursday, July 09, 2015, 14:02, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Development, TM1, , TM1 is pumping down at CS

TM1 and CS  vacuum system are connected. All turbo-pumps are started. The new TP1S works fine also. The pumping down looks good so far. During the TM1 and CS roughing down time, Joe .M noticed a Rn-220 level surge up in TH . Then, the Rn220  level slowly dropped back. Anders suspected this Rn-220 surging is related to the TM1 roughing down at CS. We decided we will stop the pumps , vent the CS , and roughing  again tomorrow. During the same time Joe will monitor  Rn-220 level in TH to see if the surging is repeatable. We want to learn more on this TH Rn-220 issue.

Entry  Friday, July 10, 2015, 14:41, Anders Mjos, Conditioning Station, Maintenance, TM1, , Replaced roughing pump

The roughing pump was replaced with a more leak tight pump due to the discovery of Rn-220 migration while roughing on TM1 in TCS

Entry  Monday, July 13, 2015, 11:31, Travis Cave, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, no target, Module moved

TM#1 has been moved back to the south west silo from the conditioning station.

Entry  Monday, July 27, 2015, 17:03, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, UCx 13, UCx13 and TM4 under vacuum at CS.

I connected the CS  vacuum system  to TM4. The CS and TM4 turbo pumps are started. Everything is good so far. The HS line will be pressured with helium tomorrow for leak checking. The CS and TM4 will be vented with Argon on Wednesday morning as planned before moved to ITE.

Dan and I stopped the CS and TM4 pumps. We are venting the CS with argon for UCX13 target.

Entry  Thursday, August 13, 2015, 14:36, Travis Cave, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, Dummy Target, Module moved

TM#2 with the dummy target has been moved to the conditioning station.

Entry  Thursday, August 13, 2015, 17:17, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, Dummy target, TM2 at CS

TM2 has been moved to CS. All turbo-pumps have been started. The pumping down is good so far.  I connected the leak detector to service cap, and finished the leak check today.  The LD base LR:0.0Xe-9atm.cc/sec. 80psi helium were applied to coil1, coil 2. HS and window circuits, each for 2minutes. No any response has been found on LD. So all water lines are leak tight now. I also sprayed   helium to top service cap checking all air to   vacuum seals. They are all good either. But, The new installed PGN1 does not work. Other thing need to mention is The TP2 is running at 2.45A which is 1A higher comparing to TP1. It need to be monitored to see if we have to replace it or not. The high current cables and water lines will be connected tomorrow morning.

Entry  Friday, August 14, 2015, 10:00, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, , Started CS water package for TM2

I finished the rest TM2 connections to CS, and started CS cooling package. Everything works fine so far.

Monday, August 17, 2015, 15:43: Reduced ANODE to 100 V

Monday, August 17, 2015, 16:56 : Increased EL to 8.3 kV to increase FC current.

Monday, August 17, 2015, 17:04 : FC0 current at 1.5E-8 A

Beam ionized and accelerated on the new TM2 source tray

Monday, August 17, 2015, 17:12 : TGHT / TBHT at 500 / 250 A. Will leave over night to outgas. ISAC ops are monitoring the source.

Tuesday, August 18, 2015, 08:07: Everything stable overnight. Continue ramping heaters.

Entry  Wednesday, August 19, 2015, 14:52, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, , TM2 at CS

During the TM2 HV test at CS, It failed. In order to confirm there is no any water leak inside the module after the heaters and beam extraction test, I disconnected all the water lines on the TM2, and purged the water lines with pressure air. Leak detector was reconnected back to the TM2 service cap, and all water lines are pressurized with 80psi helium again each for 2 minutes. No any leak had been found during the test. All the water lines are still perfectly sealed. Also, I checked all the vacuum to air seals on the top of the module. They are good either.  Anders used the RGA  tracking the helium during the test. No leak.

Entry  Thursday, August 20, 2015, 09:38, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, , TM2 was disconnected at CS

TM2 was disconnected at CS. Travis and I did  electrical check before the venting. After,The module was vented and moved to SHC. The moving is smooth.
