2020-08-06 4:38pm after changing setup to metallic connections only. Roughing on. After some minutes abnormal behavior in vacuum.

Turning water off to see if it is a small water leak.
Water purged, no change in vacuum.

IEVAP2:RV1 was closed. After opening, normal vacuum behavior recovered. The valve is automatically closing when reaching 100Torr. Wasn't doing that before. Turbo on now.

Pumped down again, vacuum went down to 0.16 and then started raising until ~0.18. This time the valve was open indeed! opening and closing the valve had no effect on the vacuum as if the booster pump was not effective

Tried a THIRD time, this time effectively, to turn the turbo ON. I managed to, but the turbo makes weird spinning sounds every ~30 sec. Moreover, its pumping down plot seems quite weird - see spike UP while pumping. Could it be related to a dysfunction of the backing pump?

A 1mm thick rhenium wire was held within two copper brackets to pass through a Cu tube with the intention of coating its inside face.
The desired temperature of the Re wire is 2500 degC
A water leak was performed and no leak was detected

The wire was heated in the same manner as the last three runs
From 0A to 7A the autoramp was set to 0.5A/min
At 8A the wire started the glow dimmly
Above 8A, the wire was heated manually at 0.5A until 16A where the step was changed to 1A,
the temperature was measured with the filament pyrometer every 2 A starting at 10A
At 42 A the step was changed to 0.6A until 42.6A, 4.38V (2020 °C), the wire was kept at that temperature for 90 min
After that time, the current was ramped down at 0.5A/min until ~20A when the current rampping was changed too 1A/min
