Thursday, September 10, 2020, 07:46: Vacuum @ 6.30e-07T

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 07:47: HS Waterline open. Stable vacuum.

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 07:51: Auto-ramp TGHT / TBHT to 400 / 200 A @ 2 A per min.

FM

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 13:28: Pyrometer aligned.  Current reading 1106.7 @ slope=0.9

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 13:46: Auto-ramp TGHT / TBHT to 580/ 250A @ 2 A per min.

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 13:47: Recording pyrometer data

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 15:33: Auto-ramp finished. Temperature=1568.0 @slope=0.9

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 15:35: Voltage power supply limited to 150 mA.

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 15:36: Voltage power supply is set to output. Nothing strange on the other PS.

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 15:42: Slowly increased the voltage to 150 V but nothing read. two times during the voltage sweep the current on the Ps showed 1mA. Nothing strangeon the vacumm or the other power supply voltages

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 15:45: Auto-rampup TBHT to 290 @ 2A/min

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 16:08: Voltage sweep

Thursday, September 10, 2020, 17:24: Auto-rampup to 300 @ 2A/min

Friday, September 11, 2020, 11:05: Auto-ramping to 290 @ -2A/min

Friday, September 11, 2020, 13:22: auto-ramping to 305 @ 2A/min

Friday, September 11, 2020, 14:10: The power supply is not reading current anymore. At 305 A I couldn't get any reading. I lowered the current to 290 A and the PS displays 0 mA even at 500 V, whereas before it showed 13 mA.

Vacuum looks normal not any sort of spike.

I will open the system to inspect the interior.

Friday, September 11, 2020, 14:15: Auto-cooling to 0 A TGHT/TBHT @-2A/min

Saturday, September 12, 2020, 10:52: Venting

Saturday, September 12, 2020, 14:00: Confirmed anode de-attached. I will spot welded again.

Saturday, September 12, 2020, 18:29: After many failures I aborted the spot welding. The anode ended up looking pretty bad.

Sunday, September 13, 2020, 19:06: Opened waterlines. Vacuum still decreasing.

Monday, September 14, 2020, 09:12: Vacuum @  8.15e-7 T. and decreasing. I will start the ramping now.

Monday, September 14, 2020, 09:28: Auto-ramping to 400/200 A @ 4/min (1 A/15 s) .

No reading on the 2-color pyrometer channel. 1-color channels indicate around 1000C

 Monday, September 14, 2020, 12:49: Recording temperature and vacuum. Auto-ramp TBHT to 210 @ 4A/min.

Monday, September 14, 2020, 12:57: Emissivity slope sweep. Only "under" is being shown

Monday, September 14, 2020, 12:58:  Auto-ramp TBHT to 220 @ 4A/min.

Monday, September 14, 2020, 13:05: Emissivity slope sweep. Only "under" is being shown

Monday, September 14, 2020, 13:06: Auto-ramp TBHT to 240 @ 4A/min.

Monday, September 14, 2020, 13:17: Auto-ramp TBHT to 250 @ 4A/min.

Monday, September 14, 2020, 13:22: Emissivity slope sweep. Only "under" is being shown

Monday, September 14, 2020, 13:23: Auto-ramp TBHT to 260 @ 4A/min.

Monday, September 14, 2020, 13:27 : Emissivity slope sweep. Only "under" is being shown

Monday, September 14, 2020, 13:27 : Auto-ramp TBHT to 275 @ 4A/min.

Monday, September 14, 2020, 13:36: Emissivity slope sweep. Only "under" is being shown for the 2-color channel. 1-color channel displays around 1200 C. Maybe there is a different  cutoff for the 2-color channel

Monday, September 14, 2020, 13:38: At 400V the PS reads back 1mA

Monday, September 14, 2020, 13:39 : Auto-ramp TBHT to 290 @ 4A/min.

Monday, September 14, 2020, 17:41: Roughing

Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 07:03: Vacuum stable at 4.65e-7T.

Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 07:03:  Auto-ramp TGHT / TBHT to 400/ 200A @ 4 A per min.

Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 10:00:  Auto-ramp TGHT  to 500 @ 4 A per min.

Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 11:13:  Auto-ramp  TBHT to 250@ 4 A per min.

Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 15:44: There is a short inside the system. I  thought it might be the vanadium wire but increasing the tbht current did not indicate a clear evaporation so I don't think this is the case.

I'll ramp down to 0 at 8A/min to open and inspect. My measurements don't make any sense without both the pyrometer and the anode leakage current reading.

Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 15:49: Auto-cooling TGHT/TBHT to 0A at 8A/min (2A /15 s).

Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 16:00: Auto-cooling aborted, the system is no longer current limited. The contact causing the issue probably moved while cooling.

***many ramp ups.downs, Temperature measurements, voltage sweeps, inverse temperature estimations. Absolute temperature measurements for when the vanadium wire melted, the pyrometer was already reading 1920, a slightly adjust on the emissivity slope move it to 1911C

Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 18:47: Ramp down TGHT/TBHT to 500/250 A @ -1A/min

Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 18:48: Done for today.

Wednesday, September 16, 2020, 10:02: Auto-ramp up TGHT/TBHT to 580/285 A @ 2A/min

Wednesday, September 16, 2020, 12:59: Auto-ramp  up TGHT/TBHT to 600 A @ 2 A/min

Wednesday, September 16, 2020, 13:45: Auto-ramp up TBHT to 290 A @ 1A/min

Wednesday, September 16, 2020, 18:45: Auto-ramp down TGHT/TBHT to 400/200 A @ -2A/min

Thursday, September 17, 2020, 08:46: Auto-ramp up TBHT to 285 A @ 2A/min
