An uncoated target container was loaded with a graphite insert and wrapped with 3 tantalum layers,

Two Ta caps were used

EVAP2 was pumped down, IGP1 = 5.14e-7 Torr


 The TGHT and TBHT current was tapped to 40 A manually

Autoramp was set to TGHT 1A/min to 500 A

and TBHT 0.5A/min to 230 A.

The temperature reached 2000 C as planned 

the target container stayed at that temperature for 1 week.

The container crystalized but did not break.

In the morning Carla found some loose wires behind EVAP 2. Wires connecting the flow-meter.  The interlock problem was fixed as it was noted there was normal HS water flow.

Started ramp up at 1A/min to 230 A.  The first outgassing bump observed and wil start autoramp @ 2A/min on both TGHT and TBHT (target is 400A on TGHT and 230A on TBHT).

TGHT has reached 580A/10.33V. Temp = 1540C. 

The two out-gassing peaks were observed: 1st peak around 1300C and 2nd peak 1370C.  See attachments 1 & 2.

A few minutes after TGHT reached to 580A, there was a small jump in TGHT current/voltage and also the pressure, but didn't notice any change in the temp, see attachment 3&4. 

Pressure is currently at 3.4e-6 Torr; will hold TGHT until pressure reaches close to 1e-6 Torr before cooling down.

Pressure has reached 1.8 e-6 Torr; TGHT has been holding at 580A for 3.5 hrs, a slight increase in voltage, reading at 10.45V and temperature, 1548C.  See attachment #5 for overview.

The target will be heated to 2000 C, held there for 10 hours.

Then ramp at 0.5A/min while taking temperature readings periodically unti l250A.

At 250 A will let pressure stabilize and then ramp at 1A/min to 2000C or 450A.  

Will hold at target Temperature or Current for 10 hours before starting ramp-down.
