All TPS optics, with the exception of TPS:Q4 cannot be turned off. E-Fault#6395 for Controls.
Same for the TSG optics: CB1, VCB1 and CBC.
Talked to Evgeniy and Kazuya. Optics are OFF now. |

Prepared the Test Stand for Controls to investigate E-Fault#6389.
Evgeniy increased the current limit on the power supply TSH:TGHT from 2 rotations to 7 rotations, after talking to Ray Dube.
I turned on the HV at 30kV and started the Auto-ramping. |
Thursday, November 22, 2012, 12:52, Aurelia Laxdal, Test-SiC, HP-FEBIAD, , , , , , E-Fault#6389 re-directed to PS
|
Evgeniy and Kazuya investigated the problem with TSH:TGHT readbacks and they came to the conclusion that the PS is faulty, and the PLC reads correctly the signal sent by the PS. Kazuya is redirecting the E-Fault from Controls to PS.
Ray Dube estimated few weeks (4-6) to send the PS offsite for repairs. This needs to be scheduled. For the time being, one can use the Test Stand with the PS setpoints, displayed on its front panel, as a reference. |

|
Started March 31, 2014:
- did the HV conditioning up to 30kV.
April 1, 2014:
- started the Heaters Conditioning.
Heaters Conditioning finished.
The Power Supplies front panel:
TGHT: 5.56V and 580A
TBHT: 2.23V and 227A
April 2, 2014:
- did a mass scan. NOTE: data is shifted by 10-15%.
plotdump-local-clean.txt_Apr2_14_16-33-19.txt
After the scan finished I found the Test Stand EPICS screens whited-out. Decided with Friedhelm to leave it as it was for the night and to contact Controls next day to reboot it without tripping the heaters and the HV.
April 3, 2014:
Found everything recovered. Except: “SOURCES ARCH IS RUNNING” was red. So, I restarted it. Jane Richards and Friedhelm didn’t do any IOC reboot. Also found that the data from yesterday’s scan was saved (see the previous scan).
Did another mass scan: plotdump-local-clean.txt_Apr3_14_10-18-13.txt
NOTE: data is shifted by 10-15%.

Edi Dalla Valle from vacuum group replaced the roughing pump TSG:RP1 in the morning. However, the pumping curve showed a leak: see attachment. It was suspected the VCR water line connection between the lid and the base of the target Heat Shield. After venting the chamber found the VCR connection between the lid and the base forgotten finger tight. Tighten it with wrenches and restarted pumping. |

Pumping down: TS loaded with a LP-SIS container for spectrometer test.
Started heating up the target container: up to 300A.
Last week: the LP container was heated up to TGHT 580A and TBHT 230A, and cooled down before the weekend.
Pumping again (LP container in) for one more check. Last check was completed on July 26: up to 400A.
Vented the chamber today (July 27).
Did another test over the weekend. Currently the PSs are off and the chamber under vacuum. |
