Dan and I leak checked ITE primary and secondary vacuum vessels with TM4  in ITE. The leak detector was hooked to ITE TP2 BV2. Leak detector  base leak rate: 0.0xE-09 atm.cc/sec, base pressure: 0.0xE-4 torr. All secondary vacuum vessel seals has been checked(helium spray), and no leak has been found. On the ITE primary vacuum vessel, we  leak checked every thing except the TM4 service cap and water lines inside the TM4. NO leak has been found on ITE primary vessels. The primary vacuum seals on TM4 service cap and TM4 waterlines(helium pressure test) will be checked at CS later.

  850   Friday, February 27, 2015, 09:34 chad fisherSouth Hot-CellMaintenance  Hot cell Entry February 25 2015

See attached report.

Summary:

Radio problems just before entry to cell. Inspection afterwards revealed batteries charge but battery in one radio shorts out after a couple loads/cycles.

Fields in hot cell range from 630 uSv/h @ 1 m to 1.5mSv/h @ 1m. Contributing to the fields is the febiad coil line removed from TM4 in the south west corner of the hot cell.

Contamination/particulate on table as mostly black colored and of a fairly substantial size, but seamingly easy to collect. Distinquishable pieces of target material present.

Hot cell window show no sign of leaking on the inside of cell.

Pre-filter changed.

Manipulators lubricated.

Hot cell entry procedures appear to still be fairly successful in minimizing contamination migration from the hot cell.

See e-log entry for ITE for details. The copper bars have not been removed. They can be used for testing the new power supplies.

Local measurement was done by Ray with a voltmeter. The voltmeter was consistent with EPICS readback and local readback on the power supplies. A voltage drop of 0.137 V @ 580 A was measured across the bus bar from the TGHT power supply to the cooled transmission lines.

Dave.Morris installed a new battery on crane control PLC board and uploaded the program. Travis, Dan and I tested the crane in local, remote, and test mode. The crane works fine. Also, the TH lock up has been tested. Everything is good.

843   Thursday, February 12, 2015, 09:11 David WangCraneRepairTM4 TH crane troubleshoot and annual inspection.

Gordon crane technicians continued their troubleshooting on this Tuesday. They found the crane up-limit protection switch which is installed on the same bracket with the the crane down view camera is broken. The spring inside the limit switch  which is used for pushing the action plunge out in the switch lost its function. This up limit switch is the last protection for the crane so it is set as when it is in action the crane main contact coil  which controls crane  power supply will be in open position. The broken switch is replaced by a new one( same type) on this Wednesday. The crane annual inspection has been  finished after the switch replacement. The crane works fine now.

841   Friday, February 06, 2015, 12:27 David WangCraneRepair  TH crane troubleshoot

Gordon crane technician started TH crane trouble shooting this morning. The problem is found that there is no 115VAC power supply to energize  a main coil which is used to switch on 450V AC power supply to crane. He did a test and found  the crane could be operated  by big yellow pedant in control room when he manually gave the coil 115VAC power supply to energize it.. At that moment, the crane is set to big yellow pedant operating mode. But, he can not figure out why there is no 115VAC power to this coil. The wiring  tracking back is not an easy job for him. The troubleshooting is  stopped now. The job will be resumed on next week with more skilled technician involving in from Gordon crane.
