Thursday, June 13, 2024, 11:44, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, , Replaced several o ring seals on TM2 service cap.
|
couple of E-8 to low E-7 atm.cc/sec leak were found on TM2 service cap top air to vacuum o rings. Replaced these leak o ring seals
including o ring on IG1 and steerer service panel,o rings on MSP, EE, D blue nylon and copper feed through, and o ring on a round blank off beside MSP
terminal on second row. |
Friday, July 10, 2015, 14:41, Anders Mjos, Conditioning Station, Maintenance, TM1, , Replaced roughing pump
|
The roughing pump was replaced with a more leak tight pump due to the discovery of Rn-220 migration while roughing on TM1 in TCS |
Wednesday, February 14, 2018, 10:06, Anders Mjos, ITW, Maintenance, TM2, , Replaced parker couplings on Window cooling line
|
By Anders & David. Couplings will be taken apart for inspection. |
Wednesday, March 02, 2022, 10:51, David Wang, ITE/ITW, Standard Operation, , , Replaced old turbopump and 2A3M20 wire scanner are transferred to cyclotron tunnel.
|
Replaced 9 old turbo pumps from ITE/ ITW and one 2A3M20 wire scanner from ITE are transferred to cyclotron tunnel for storage. It is TH RAD waste
cleanup task in winter shut down. |
Thursday, August 23, 2012, 07:34, David Wang, ITW, Repair, , , Replaced broken air lines on ITW HARP5B cylinder.
|
Prob guys replaced broken air lines on ITW HARP 5B Cylinder.Several shielding blocks had been moved out to make the cylinder accessible. After the replacement, the
HARP5B works fine. All shield blocks had been moved back to original position. The job is done. |
Friday, June 14, 2024, 16:04, Carla Babcock, ITW, Repair, TM4, UC#45, Replaced and reinstalled electronics in ITW cage
|
ITW has been behaving badly at higher voltages recently, even without protons on. I conditioned it up to 50kV with heaters off in the TCS and it was
fine. But when I tried to do the same with heaters on in the station, it was quite sparky and it kept tripping the TGHT/TBHT. I went to 49kV where it was
unstable, then lowered to 48kV where it looked fine for 30mins. But even operating at 40kV, it tripped the heaters several times. The TBHT voltage came |
Thursday, January 10, 2013, 10:40, David Wang, ITW, Maintenance, , , Replaced all high active water system magnetic pedal wheels in ITW and ITE.
|
I replaced all high active water system magnetic pedal wheels in ITW and ITE. This is a preventive maintenance job we planned for this winter shut down. |
Tuesday, February 26, 2013, 13:53, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM4, , Replaced TM4 TP1
|
Bevan and I replaced TM4 TP1 today at conditioning station .The pump will be started this week when I do ITE and TM4 leak check . |
Thursday, April 26, 2012, 13:01, David Wang, ITE, Repair, TM4, , Replaced TM4 EE water flow wheel in ITE.
|
Due to weak magnetic field on TM4 EE water flow wheel, we have two times intermittent water signal on this circuit this morning. I replaced the old
wheel with a new one in ITE. I checked the signal frequency and strength. It looks fine now. |
Wednesday, April 01, 2015, 13:08, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, TM4, , Replaced ITE tank to module 42X0.275 o-ring
|
I replaced ITE tank to module 42 ID X 0.275 o-ring. The o-ring is changed once a year before the first beam time. The flanges was cleaned and the new
o-ring was installed. It works fine. |
Thursday, June 03, 2021, 08:19, David Wang, ITE, Repair, TM4, UCX33, Replaced ITE TP4
|
Replaced ITE TP4 due to failure start. The new pump works fine. |
Thursday, October 04, 2012, 11:06, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, , , Replace conditioning station scroll pump in target hall
|
Grant and I replaced the conditioning station broken srcoll pump with a refurbished scroll pump which is supplied by vacuum group. The replaced
pump is bagged and waiting for RPG further survey in target hall . The target hall is survey after the job, and everything is fine. |

Wednesday, May 15, 2013, 16:51, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM3, No Source Tray, Repeat of HV Test
|
The HV test completed on Monday was repeated today over a much longer time period. By taking longer there was slightly less sparking but once again
a maximum voltage of ~44kV was achieved. The resistivity of the water was much higher during this run so the leakage current was less but still in
the >100 uA range. The spark that occurred during the ramp up to the maximum voltage caused the "water resistivity" limit to trip. This was |
Friday, July 29, 2022, 12:05, Carla Babcock, North Hot-Cell, Repair, TM2, UCx#38, Repair of UCx#38 EE short in ante room
|
UCx#38 developed a short between the plasma electrode and the extraction electrode about 30mins after reaching full temperature in the conditioning station.
The decision was made to bring it into the anteroom and try to clean it there.
To do this, it was uninstalled, the parasitic attachments were removed and it was brought into the ante room. |
