Just some notes on the install of SiC#30 on TM3 last month...It was installed with all new fasteners and torque values provided by Anders were used...of
main interest is probably the main high current fasteners which were torqued to 150 in lbs. |

Looked at SiC#45 in the hot cell. Looked very clean, no deposits on the heat shield or other components. Target also looked very straight. Only issue
we saw was sparking marks on the EE side that faces the ground electrode, in several spots. This target had a bout of sparking when ramping up the protons,
so I guess that was the location. Will look for matching spark marks on the ground electrode next time TM4 is in the hot cell. Forgot to take picutres... |

Sic#35 has been installed onto TM2. High current fasteners torqued to 130 in lbs.
Mating of the 9 pin connector was extremely problematic but in the end I was able to get it to mate properly. Noticed left (when facing module
in hot cell) febiad coil left twisted a bit when torqued up. |

SiC#32 has been removed from TM2. Quick inspection shows some troubling discoloration on the water cooled connection blocks of C and D as well as the
left target heater A.
As for the target, both legs are broken and is has the normal "charge up" marks on the 9 pin connector. |

SiC#30 has been removed from TM3. A quick exam of TM3 source tray did not yield any obvious signs of damage.
9 pin connector on the target showed the usual sparking/arcing marks.
Heat shield has been removed from the target. Inside of heat shield has some unusual marks on it and quite a lot of black deposits. |

SiC#26 was removed from target module #4 this morning. Target shows the now standard arc marks on the 9 pin connector housing...pictures to follow.
Of greater concern is the amount of "plating out" or "arc" marks on both the insulators and connductor of the TM4 source tray.
I will again warn that the source trays historically have a life expectancy, and that TM4 continues to show visual signs that the current |

HP febiad target SiC#26 was installed onto Tm4 on Monday morning.
"JP's" connector required lossing of the two mounting fasteners. Connector was pushed tight to its mating half on the source tray and
both fasteners retightened, and the mating checked; it was good. |

TM2 has been successfully de-shuttered.
All went pretty much according to plan except I had to remove one fastener out of the upper wiring harness (the one that has just been installed)
to allow for enough clearance to rotated the shutter guide out of the way...I shutter to think what would have happened otherwise...anyways... |
