The spent Nb#8 target was moved from the south hot cell to the spent target vault. It was placed in pail #168 and place in spot 2A in the vault. See the attached pdf for vault details.

Entry  Tuesday, September 18, 2012, 13:41, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, leak check heat shield circuit

Chad and i did a leak check on TM1 heat shield circuit with new Nb#7 target installed. It took about 5 mins pump down the circuit to leak rate 0.0x E-9atm.cc/sec and 0.0x E-4 torr on leak detector.

All vacuum lines and joints which connected to the leak detector had been helium sprayed and they are leak  tight. Chad sprayed helium on each VCR joints for 2 seconds every time. During 45sec waiting time, there is no any response on leak detector. Chad repeated same test again for double checking and we got same result. Chad finally flushed the helium around the target heat shield for 10 seconds.we waited for 45minute and found no response on the leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight at this stage. I will do a helium pressure test on this circuit when TM1 is in CS and under vacuum.

Nb #7 was installed and tested today.

Inside face of the containment box cover was cleaned with methanol and a baseline picture taken in an effort to track deposits and marking as requested bty Anders.

TM#1 with Nb#7 attached was electrically checked at the south hot cell yesterday, see attached pdf for details. Some notes about this test the oven to the 60kV common is 2Mohm this was noticed on the target prior to installation on the module, and the 60kV common to chassis is low at 874Mohm (low as in a non infinite value).

Entry  Wednesday, September 19, 2012, 11:24, Travis Cave, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, module move

TM#1 with Nb#7 was moved from the south hot cell to the conditioning station. Move went well.

Entry  Thursday, September 20, 2012, 08:45, Travis Cave, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, Electrical check TM1_Nb7_Elec_chk_CS.PDF

Electrical check was done at the conditioning station this morning results are on the attached PDF.

Entry  Thursday, September 20, 2012, 09:16, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, TM1 Nb#7 target heat shield helium pressure check is done.

Leak detector pumped down to base LR1.3xE-9 atm.cc/sec, and BP 8xE-3 torr. All high vacuum gauge readings at CS and TM1 are at low -6 range from 1.2xE-6torr to 4.6x E-6 torr. Applied 80 psi helium  to heat shield circuit for 5minutes and there is no any response on leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight.

Entry  Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 10:34, Travis Cave, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, module move

TM#1 with Nb#7 moved from the conditioning station to the west target station. Move went well.

Entry  Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 14:33, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, TM1connected in ITW

TM 1 is in ITW now. All connections are done. The turbo pumps had been started this afternoon. The vacuum looks good so far. The water interlock check which related to TM1 are done. They are good. All TM1 water signals are visually checked and they are strong.  The rest interlock check ( MCR XT page) will be finished before shielding blocks moving. The MAA is locked and ITE is ready for proton beam.

Entry  Tuesday, October 02, 2012, 11:47, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, I moved 5 shielding blocks from ITE to ITW.

5 shielding blocks have been moved from ITE to ITW. ITW is configured to take proton beam now.

Entry  Tuesday, November 06, 2012, 11:06, Travis Cave, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, module move

TM#1 with Nb#7 has been moved from the west target station to the south hot cell move went well.

Entry  Tuesday, November 06, 2012, 12:08, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, TM1 disconnected in ITW

Bevan and I disconnected TM1 in ITW this morning. The TM1 was moved to south hot cell later.

Entry  Thursday, November 08, 2012, 09:37, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, Nb#7 Autopsy

Nb#7 was dismantled and ready for inspection.

Entry  Friday, November 09, 2012, 14:35, Travis Cave, Spent Target Vault, Standard Operation, , Nb#7, Spent target move Vault_Storage_November_9_2012.pdf

Nb#7 was moved from the south hot cell to the target storage vault. The target was placed in pail #103 in slot 6A of the vault and had a reading of 178 mSv/hr upon removal from the south hot cell. See attached PDF for full vault details.

Entry  Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 10:15, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#6, Target inserted into south hot cell

Nb#6 has been inserted into the south hot cell in preparation for ionstallation onto TM1. During the pre-insertion inspection I noticed that I could see the foil installed into the ionizer tube and that in did not seem to be seated or concentric to the tube itself. I had Anders and Friedhelm check this and they deemed that it was ok.

Entry  Thursday, April 19, 2012, 09:36, Travis Cave, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#6, Electrical check Elec_Check_TM1_Nb6.PDF

Electrical check has been completed of TM#1 with Nb#6 attached. Our new micro-ohm meter was also used for the first time for this test.

Entry  Friday, April 20, 2012, 14:07, Travis Cave, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#6, module move

TM#1 with Nb#6 is now in the conditioning station. The fields of the module at the south cell was 15.8mSv/hr. The move was uneventful. Don Dale was present for the move locking out parts of the code so only one movement of the crane could be done at a time.

Entry  Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 10:02, Travis Cave, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#6, module move

TM#1 with Nb#6 from the conditioning station to the west target station, move was uneventful. Mike LaRoss was there today for move in place of Don Dale working the PLC.

Entry  Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 10:36, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#6, HV test April 23

A HV test was complete on TM1 with Friedhelm, David, and Myself. The module behaved as it has in other tests. The vacuum achieved was 1.6 x 10^-6 in the diagnostics box, 2.3 x 10^-6 in the containment box, and 8.6 x 10^-7 in the service cap. Maximum voltage without continuous sparking achieved was 27kV. Current was unstable varrying from 40 to 300 uA. This voltage was held for 10 minutes.
