chad fisher | South Hot-Cell | Maintenance | | | Hot cell Entry February 25 2015 |
See attached report.
Summary:
Radio problems just before entry to cell. Inspection afterwards revealed batteries charge but battery in one radio shorts out after a couple loads/cycles.
Fields in hot cell range from 630 uSv/h @ 1 m to 1.5mSv/h @ 1m. Contributing to the fields is the febiad coil line removed from TM4 in the south west corner of the hot cell.
Contamination/particulate on table as mostly black colored and of a fairly substantial size, but seamingly easy to collect. Distinquishable pieces of target material present.
Hot cell window show no sign of leaking on the inside of cell.
Pre-filter changed.
Manipulators lubricated.
Hot cell entry procedures appear to still be fairly successful in minimizing contamination migration from the hot cell.

Chad and I leak checked TM4 HS water line with new Ta#45 target installed at SHC. Leak detector base leak rate 0.0Xe-9 atm.cc/sec, base pressure 0.0Xe-4 torr. Chad sprayed helium twice on each of HS 2 VCR joints. No leak has been found. The joints are leak tight. The helium pressure test will be done at CS later. |

Isaac Earle | South Hot-Cell | Standard Operation | TM1 | UC#12 | UC#12 Installed in TM1 |
On Friday April 17th, UC#12 target was installed in TM1. One of the copper water lines was bent slightly as the target was lifted into the module which caused ~15 minute delay due to difficulty getting the VCR nut threads to engage. Other than this the install went smoothly.
During replacement of the containment box panel two of the threaded holes were found to be stripped. One on the top at the center, the other in the bottom right corner. These two holes were left without fasteners (see attached photo). It is unknown at this time whether these holes were already stripped, or if they were stripped during this installation. |

Keith C Ng | South Hot-Cell | Development | TM2 | | Ceramic Standoffs in TM2 source tray steerer assembly |
On drawing ITA6008 for the Encole 0.5" ceramic standoffs there is a note to match pairs of ceramics to within +/-0.001". This step was missed on the current build of TM2 source tray (ceramics were not measured).
Measured the lengths of the rest of the ceramic standoffs in inventory and they range from 0.5035" to 0.4950" in length. The ceramics have been sorted by length and grouped into bags.
