UC#20 has been removed from TM4 and put in a bucket back-filled with argon. Ta#52 has been installed onto TM4 with new fasteners. High current torqued to 130 in lbs.

UCx#19 has been removed from TM4 and UCx#20 installed.

UCx#19 still had water in it at pressure and sprayed when the VCR was undone. It was quickly re-tightened but not before significant water pooled beside the main Mykroy standoff and table. Contacted Anders would suggested to soak it up with some wipes and continue, which I did.

New target fasteners including high current. High current fasteners torqued to 130 in lbs.

UCx#16 has been removed from TM$ and UCx#17 installed, high current conductors toqued to 130 in lbs.

UCx#16 did not show the standard arcing marks on the 9 pin connector.

In regards to the 9 pin connector on number 17, it was by far the best fitting TM4 target with 9 pin as it required no "fiddling" during installation.

On Friday April 17th, UC#12 target was installed in TM1.  One of the copper water lines was bent slightly as the target was lifted into the module which caused ~15 minute delay due to difficulty getting the VCR nut threads to engage.  Other than this the install went smoothly.

During replacement of the containment box panel two of the threaded holes were found to be stripped.  One on the top at the center, the other in the bottom right corner.  These two holes were left without fasteners (see attached photo).  It is unknown at this time whether these holes were already stripped, or if they were stripped during this installation.

Entry  Thursday, March 08, 2018, 14:10, David Wang, ITW, Maintenance, , , Two small water leak has been found in ITW.

Two small water leaks have been found on ITW High active water system. One is from an unused 1/4" copper valve stem. another is on supply 1.5" supply line valve body top sealing. Both of them are seeping water from seal. 1/4" copper valve will be replaced with a new one. 1.5" supply line valve will be replaced by an old valve with all new seals. I have all spare parts in hand.  At present, water supply to ITW are stooped to reduce leak rate. Two aluminum flat tray are put underneath leak valves to hold small amount leak water. Both leak will be fixed in April  mostly.

Two filters on HALCW resin circuit have been replaced. O-ring 235# were changed on both filter cartridge houses.  25micron  10"x 2.5" 3M cartridge new filters  are used. Old filters are not very dirty. They are bagged and stored in vacuum pit. Residual water from cartridge houses are collected and stored in high active storage jug with sealed cap.  No leak on resin circuit before and after the job.

Entry  Monday, April 04, 2022, 10:44, Nadia Jorgenson, South Hot-Cell, Repair, , , Turntable Chain Repair Hot_Cell_Chain_1.jpgHot_Cell_Chain_2.jpg

Last week we repaired the South Hot Cell turntable chain/sprocket. Chain was loose and there was a few section where the chain was not lining up properly with the sprockets.

3 issues were discovered:

-        One of the pins was bent. It’s been replaced but is a temporary fix. Need to replace them with stronger pins.

-        The smaller sprockets near the motor were too far from the main turntable sprocket which was causing the links to not immediately line up with the teeth on the turntable sprocket. With too much slack in the chain, it’s likely that this is were the misalignment was starting. This was fixed by adjusting the motor position and the position of the yellow plate bolted to the floor.

-        The yellow plate that is bolted into the floor has oversized holes relative to the bolts/washers used. This allows us to adjust the position, but the washers are to thin and are being bent/pulled into the holes. Should be replaced with thicker washers that can withstand the tension and this will help prevent the plate from sliding out of position.

Entry  Thursday, September 24, 2015, 07:00, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Maintenance, TM4, Ta#46, Turned off TCS all vacuum pumps and water pumps.

TCS:MP1 back up pressure went up too high (700mtorr).I turned off all the pumps. The TCS is under vacuum still. TCS water  package cooling fans showed error on control page. The water pumps are stopped  also.

Restarted the vacuum pumps 40 minutes after stopping. Everything is back to normal. The MP1 back up pressure need to be monitored frequently before we have a final solution on this issue.

Reset the CS cooling package on roof and restarted the water  pumps. The system is running good so far.

I turned off TCS vacuum and water pumps. The TSC and TM4 are still under vacuum condition.

The turbo pumps are on. TP1 and TP2 once again timed out and had to be restarted before they would stay on.
