SiC#30 in pail #117 has been move to the spent target vault and placed in spot 2C. See attached PDF for details.

Ta#43 has been moved from the south hot cell to the spent target vault. See attached PDF for details.

Five of the ten target we want to measure the fields on were done today. We will finish up on Monday, and the spent target storage spreadsheet will be updated then.

UC#10 has been moved from the south hot cell to the spent target vault. It was placed in Pail #119 and in slot 8B. For further details see attached PDF.

NOTE: If there is a problem with the chiller unit (ie Fault 1 or Fault 2), a power cycle may reset the VFDs for the fans and clear the problem. To do so it is necessary to wait long enough for the VFDs to power off completely. The display will first start to flash before going dark. Wait another few seconds before powering the system back up. The chiller unit is located on the ISAC I Penthouse Roof.

A service tech from Daikine was on site today and has cleaned the chiller unit. In the process he also cycled the power which returned the operation back to normal. The tech provided us with manuals for the VFDs. These can be consulted on DocuSharefor looking up error codes.

Fault 1 refers to unit 1 and Fault 2 to unit 2.

NOTE: If cooling is required, the compressors will have to be run manually. Make sure to switch it off again when the water has reached an acceptable temperature.

The staging did not work properly this morning. Dave Morris have been contacted and will look into it.

The broken cable on the east manipulator has been replaced.

The handle will need some adjustments which will take place first thing tomorrow.

The east manipulator handle has been adjusted and is ready for use.

ZrC#6 has been moved from the south hot cell and into storage. It was placed in pail 120 in slot 5C of the vault. For more details see PDF.

 A copper bar jumper (ITD0488) was installed on the TGHT, TBHT and COIL conductors on the taregt hall side for TCS testing.

Jig for installation of target through hot cell roof has been assembled and placed in the target hall.

I craned down UCx11 target from TH into SHC. Chad was in SHC service area watching on it. The source tray moving jig was installed on the crane for this moving.

The spent Ta#44 target has been removed from the south hot cell, it was placed in pail #121 and placed in spot 4A of the storage vault. It was 276mSv/hr upon removal from the south hot cell.

The stand was used for transferring UCX11 targte from TH to SHC. The stand wit target was craned down from TH into SHC last week and stayed there over weekend. Chad and I removed the stand out of SHC yesterday. It was heavily contaminated. RPG and I spent more than 3 hours to clean this stand. See the emails I pasted below for  detail information.

Thanks, David, for letting me know about this. Here are survey results after my afternoon in Target Hall:

I spent 1.5 hours on additional decon of the stand, crane hook, and area around where David was doing the decon, finding up to 10k cpm (44-2) on some parts at first. Danka came to help after a bit (THANK YOU, DANKA) and we left the items covered in plastic and surveyed the area. Contamination survey results are as follows, numbers are units of cpm on the 44-2/RM14:

Tacky mats inside TMH door: 6000/2000

Tacky mats in hall before TMH door: 200/0

Tacky mats at boot box: 8000/4000

My booties: 50/0

Air sample at the decon area: 50/60 (also 100 cpm on alpha probe)

Floor swipes post-decon of floor: 0/0

Early results from a 10 min assay of the tacky mats shows predominantly Kr-85, Be-7, Sr-85, Rb-83, and Sr-82. A longer assay is underway.

The following measurements were made using the checking cave at the boot box (units of cpm):

David's respirator cartridges: 160

David's respirator: 0

Davids tank suit and booties: 1200

My suit: 100

My respirator: 0

The rags used for the decon work were contained in a bag and left behind the silos by the DST. This bag measured 240 uSv/h OC and 2 uSv/h at 0.5m

Hi all, The UCx#11 target transferring stand is moved back from SHC to TH. However, the stand was heavily contaminated. On the first Windex clean up towel, the counts directly shoot over the 500K counts which is the maximum scales on both RM14 and 44-2. After almost 2 hours, more than 20 times cleaning up with Windex spray and paper towel wipe , the counts dropped below 300 now. It is extremely difficult to clean up this stand.  I dont think we should move the target this way again unless we have a solution on the contamination clean up. The stand is still hanging  on the crane, and waiting for RPG checking.                        Thanks    David

The following targets have been moved to the mini storage from the target storage vault:

2. Nb#7
3. TiC#3
4. SiC#29
5. NiO#2

These target will be removed from the mini storage and placed into the F-308's on December 3rd.

F-308's have been serviced and are ready to be filled with spent targets. F-308's witch were serviced are #6,#13,#15,#16,and #19.

The F-308s have been moved into the target hall,  for filling on wednesday.

Spent targets in the mini storage were placed into the F-308s yesterday, all F-308 have been removed from the the target hall and they no reside for the time being in the hallway between the north and south hot cells.
