Chad and I leak checked the HS line at SHC after UCX target installation. On first round helium spray, one of VCR fitting has a leak to E-6 atm.cc/sec
range. Chad tightened the fitting, and solved the problem. We leak checked both VCR fittings twice. No leak. The line will be helium pressured at CS tomorrow. |

Chad and I did the leak check on TM2 tube heater (+) water line with blank off( + elastic o ring seal) installed on "D" water block
in SHC. We got the same no leak result as we got with rubber insert this morning. |
Tuesday, February 25, 2014, 06:53, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM2, , Leak check on TM2 tube heater (+) water line with blank off(C-seal) installed on WB.
|
Chad and I did the leak check on TM2 tube heater (+) water line with blank off and C-seal installed on WB at South Hot Cell. The
line was easy to pump down to 0.0xE-9atm.cc/sec and 0.0XE-4 torr on leak detector. Chad flushed lot helium around the water block (10 sec spray). No response
had been found on leak detector. |

Chad and I leak checked TM2 HS and window circuit VCR joints with ZrC target and containment box installed at SHC. No leak has been found. They will
be helium pressurized at CS later. |
Tuesday, September 15, 2015, 08:24, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM1, UCx 13, Leak check on TM1 window circuit soldering stems in service cap.
|
I did a leak check on TM1 window circuit 2 soldering stems in service cap.The round side panel was opened for the job. I sprayed helium on
the stems for 10 seconds. The leak detector got a tiny response(from 0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec to 2.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec). The test repeated again. The second
time, LD climbed to 1.2xE-9atm.cc/sec. It looks like there is a very tiny leak on the stems soldering spots. But , this is not the same leak we found |
Tuesday, November 04, 2014, 11:05, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, ThO#1, Leak check on TM1 HS water line withThO#1 installed.
|
Chad and I leak checked HS line on TM1 with ThO#1 target installed. The LD pumped down to base leak rate 0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec, base leak rate 0.0xE-4 torr.
The pumping down process is normal. Chad sprayed helium on both VCR joints (each for 2 seconds) , and he did a flush spray around the target for 5 seconds.
No any response had been found on LD during and after the spray( 40seconds waiting time). The target is leak tight. |

Chad and I leak checked TM1 HS and UC9# VCR fittings. No response had been found on leak detector during the test. I will do helium pressure test
on it at CS later. |

|
Chad and I leak checked TM1 HS waterline with new target installed at SHC. The LD base LR:0.0xE-9atm.cc/sec, base pressure: 0.0xE-4 torr. Chad sprayed
helium on both VCR fittings and flushed helium around the target. No response has been found on leak detector. The target HS line is leak tight so far.
I will do helium pressure test on this line at CS on next Monday. |

Chad and I leak checked the TM1 HS line with new target installed. Base leak rate 0.0xe-9 atm.cc/sec. No any response has been found on LD. The
line will be pressurized at CS with helium tomorrow. |
Thursday, August 18, 2011, 14:09, Bevan Moss, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx#2, Leak and Electrical Check plus Remote Move to Conditioning Station
|
TM1 with UC#2 had the target installed, the heat shield line was pumped on and achieved a vacuum of 0.0 x 10^-4 Torr and a leak rate of 0.0
x 10^-9 atm cc / sec with no response when sprayed with helium. An electrical check was completed by David and myself all values were withing tolerance.
The module was then moved from the south hot cell to the conditioning station where it will start pump down. The move was uneventful every operated |

|
Today a leak check on TM1's external seals and the heat shield line was completed by David Wang. After 16 hours of the turbo pumps running on the conditioning
station stations pressures were 3.6 x 10^-6 T, 1.2 x 10^-5 T, and 1.8 x 10^-6 T for the containment box, secondary vacuum, and service cap respectively.
This is a significantly quicker pump down after the cross with small turbo pump was installed on the vacuum vessel. The base pressure of the leak testing |
Friday, October 28, 2011, 14:29, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, , Leak Check on October 27/10/2011
|
A leak check was performed on the module on October 27/10/2011 by David Wang and was reported to Bevan Moss but it never made it into the Elog system.
This entry is to summarize the results of that testing. All circuits were pressurized to 80 psi with helium and every line except the tube heater (+) showed
no or small responses as experienced before. The tube heater line had a slightly larger response under the conditions summarized below: |
Friday, August 19, 2011, 14:52, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM1, UCx#2, Leak Check
|
A leak check was performed on the module when it was in the conditioning station today. There were no external leaks
found. When the coolant lines were check a small leak was found in the heat shield circuit. Base leak rate was 6.7 x 10^-9 atm cc /sec and rose to 4.1
x 10^-9 atm cc /sec quickly (~3 seconds) and remained there for the 2 minute test. The remaining lines |
