Sulfur-33 development completed successfully.
Three times of the requested amount produced (1e9 x 3) from the source and two times
delivered to the DRAGON for verification.
The SO2 gas bottle is removed and stored in the ISAC gas shack.
149   Fri Oct 2 15:58:36 2009 Keerthi  17O and Ne gases are now connected

A  1e-5 atm.cc/sec of 17O leak and a 1e-6 atm.cc/sec of neon leak are connected to the source through center tube of the RF transfer antenna.

Ne valve is open for upcoming CSB test.  17O valve is closed. All optics are set to A/Q=5.5.  RF, EL and HV are off for the weekend since no ISAC ops at night.

  150   Sun Oct 4 19:16:46 2009 Keerthi  OLIS status

Supernanogan is ready with 22Ne+4 for upcoming CSB run. EL, HV and RF are on. The anlyzing magnet and the other optics are set for A/Q=5.5.

A 2nA of 22Ne+4 is sitting at the FC6. If require more current, increase the RF up to 25W or change the frequency to 13.256GHz.

  152   Tue Oct 6 15:28:31 2009 Keerthi  OLIS A/Q changed to 5 (20Ne+4)

Changed OLIS A/Q to 5 (20Ne+4) to satisfy the CSB and ISAC development changes. 8nA is sitting at the FC6

  153   Wed Oct 7 16:54:33 2009 Keerthi

Today Supernanogan vacuum found to be down in the morning. Restarted easily.

  155   Fri Oct 9 16:33:45 2009 Keerthi  33S development

SO2 gas line is connected again. Leak hand valve is closed.

Intermediate section is pumping through source chamber.

CSB development is completed.

  156   Sun Oct 11 13:16:39 2009 Keerthi  MCIS:TP3 was off

MCIS TP3 foumd off by 1:00 pm.  Restarted without a problem

Before TP3 is on MCIS:IG1 is 5.47e-8 Torr.

After MCIS:TP3 = 5.21e-8 Torr

157   Sun Oct 11 13:17:37 2009 Keerthi  Neon Leak closed

Neon leak close for upcoming 33S development.

  158   Sun Oct 11 17:09:52 2009 Keerthi  Vacuum with IOS:IV7

IOS:IG4 reads 1.25 e-7 Torr and IOS:IG1 reads 9.8e-8 Torr with IOS:IV7 is open

IOS:IG4 reads 8.35 e-8 Torr and IOS:IG1 reads 7.49e-8 Torr with IOS:IV7 is closed

159   Sun Oct 11 17:11:31 2009 Keerthi  MCIS turbo pumps power levels

MCIS:TP1 = 12W

MCIS:TP2 = 11W

  164   Thu Oct 15 21:06:10 2009 Keerthi  OLIS status

33S development is completed.  A 3nA of 33S+5 can be produced with 10W of RF power and 2.5mm aperture.

If more beam is needed apertures and the power must be increased.  There are some consequences for doing this.

MCIS optics and RF are off for the night.

230   Thu Mar 11 23:02:18 2010 Keerthi  OLIS status after shutdown

Microwave source is up and running.

Supernanogan: grounding rod is stuck, RF generator does not clear the interlocks (controls?)

LEBT: FC3 air leak, in is out, out is in

  231   Fri Mar 12 11:33:09 2010 Keerthi  IOS:IG!

IOS:IG1 is faulty. Need to replac it during next earliest window.

232   Fri Mar 12 11:35:34 2010 Keerthi  Cusp water cooling

Cusp source water cooling (#4)  interlick does not work.

My first OLIS elog entry.

  4   Thu May 21 16:23:37 2009 Damien GallopRoutineGeneral18O4+/8+ to TUDA-II declared done around noon

End of run diagnostics done. See ISAC elog. Supernanogan cart is already installed and at high vacuum. Prepare to run 17O from Sgan sometime over the weekend. Today's agenda:

1. Close 18O bottle and gas valves.

2. Isolate IOS:CG0 to minimize pressure contribution from long copper lines.

3. Work around gate valve interlocks.

4. Set up for leak checking: IOS first.

We did some preliminary vacuum checks, and found significant loading on the IOS turbos, probably downstream near DB6. Leak checking now in progress.

  5   Fri May 22 10:50:06 2009 Damien GallopRoutineGeneralMCIS online with 17O3+ on FC6

The previous 18O4+/8+ run to TUDA-II finished midday yesterday. OLIS was prepared for 17O delivery from the Supernanogan source. Leak checking was done last night. The big offender was a failing metal seal on IOS:TP7. The pump will have to be replaced. Meanwhile the pressure is sufficient for 20nA of 17O3+ with 2.5mm (middle selection) apertures inserted. Present agreement is to leave TP7 as-is for this run.

  7   Fri May 22 15:03:55 2009 Damien GallopRoutineGeneralTemporary fix on IOS:TP7

Vacuum Group applied a temporary fix to the lower body seal on IOS:TP7, which we found last night to be leaking. Edi tells me that similar seals have failed before. It's an O-ring, not a metal seal. The fix now was to marinate the outside seam with silicon grease and wrap with Teflon tape. We'll see how that improves the backing line after a while.

Meanwhile, Vacuum Group is setting up to leack check the work.
