On Tuesday, January 24th UCx#18 was removed from TM2 and Ta febiad dummy installed. I encountered the same issue mounting the new target as last time. Was able to determine that the issue is the routing of the waterlines to the right-hand (as viewed from the operator) high current tube heater. The lines interfer the the target mounting plate (bottom right hand corner).

Entry  Friday, January 27, 2017, 10:52, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , TM2 has been moved from TCS to ITE

The move is successful.

Entry  Wednesday, February 01, 2017, 12:23, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, TM2, , TM2 has been connected in ITE.

TM2 has been connected in ITE. The SST window water lines in ITE can not be connected properly to TM2. The water line connector on TM2 window is 90 degree CCW installed in direction comparing to TM4.This caused the problem. Solution: Two piece of flexible lines and extra male QC adapters have been used to fix this issue.  HV cover and HV fence in ITE work  with TM2. Other connections are good as well.

Entry  Wednesday, March 08, 2017, 14:09, David Wang, ITE, Maintenance, TM2, , ITE IG1S increasing. ITE_IGIS_surge.pngITE_IG1S_and_PNG4.pngITE_IG1S_back_to_normal_overnight.pngITE_IG1S_behavior_from_Feb_08th_to_Mar_10th.png

By retrieving data further, It has been found no directly relationship between IG1S surging and dump plug water opening. Vacuum surging is 10minutes ahead dump water supply to circuit. SEE attachment 1. Also, The ITE IG1S start to behavior unusual in middle of Feburary. See attachment 2. Today,  ITE IG1S is still slowly climbing up. I decide to leak check ITE vacuum vessel. Before  leak check, for more information and trouble shooting. I closed water supply to ITE to see if vacuum has response on it. I will return water supply to ITE  tomorrow morning.

Water supply to ITE is returned this afternoon at 2: 10 PM.  Everything works fine so far

I leak checked ITE secondary vessel vacuum. A leak have been found in March 09th noon which is located between entrance module and TM2 top tank flange o-ring seal( on tank flange). It could not be confirm on which side of the o-ring the leak is from.

During last night, ITE IG1S reading went back to normal low E-7 range and stays in this range now. So I leak checked same area again this morning. The leak disappeared now. The o-ring works sometime , but not all the time. The plan for this issue: Change ITE target module side o-ring when TM2 is move out., and watch on the ITE IG1s when TM4 is moved back to ITE and pumped down.

Electrical check of the Ta test target on TM#2

Entry  Monday, March 27, 2017, 13:40, Travis Cave, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM2, no target, Electrical Check TM2__No_Tgt.PDFTM4__No_Tgt.PDF

Did the start of the running year electrical checks of both TM#2 and TM#4 with no target attached to either module. TM#2 was in the south hot cell and TM#4 is in the conditioning station under vacuum.

Roughing down overnight. Turbo pumps are started this morning. Everything looks good so far.

There is a smallleak HS which we did not see before. The HS is checked in SHC  with helium spray yesterday. We did not see the leak . We checked this HS line every time when new target was installed. So mostly, this small leak is from VCRs connected to new target. But, we can not confirm it.  Still this line will be checked on next new target. We should have a better understanding when checking next time.  Other line are almost same as we checked in last year November. I did not see essential change.

Entry  Monday, April 24, 2017, 09:52, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , Switch off TCS water system and vacuums

The TCS bias was turn off before that. The TM2 and TCS are still under vacuum now.

Entry  Monday, April 24, 2017, 16:06, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM2, , Crane main hoist strane noise when lifting up TM2

When lifting up TM2 (20000lbs) this afternoon, TH crane has a strange noise on main hoist. The module was lift up less than 1 feet.when strange sound was noticed.  The module move was stopped right away, and module  was lowed back to SHC. The strange noise was confirmed later with SEG block six inches lifting up. Gordon crane technician will be here to tomorrow morning to investigate the problem.

Entry  Monday, April 24, 2017, 16:11, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , TCS TP1s is restarted.

TCS IG1S  is switched on as well. The reason to start the pump is to prepare a possible extended TM2 conditioning at TCS caused by TH crane issue. TCS:TP1 and TP2 are not switched on for this.

Entry  Wednesday, April 26, 2017, 10:24, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM2, , TM2 ITW

TM2 was moved and connected in ITW yesterday afternoon. After roughing down, ITW turbo pumps are started. ITW TP4 can not be started to full speed. ISAC ops kept it at low speed mode with less than 1.0A current draw on pump. ITW IG1s shows red as well. I will take a look on them today when beam is off.
