Chad and I did a leak check on TM1 Nb5 target heat shield circuit. The leak detector was connected to heat shield circuit.The pumping down of the circuit is very smooth.Base leak rate is 0.0xE-9atm.cc/sec,and the base pressure is 0.0xE-4 torr. Chad checked the helium flow downstairs .He sprayed helium to both up and down VCR joints 2seconds each time. There is no any response on leak detector(30 seconds waiting time). Both joints did the same test twice, no response . Finally, he flushed helium around the target for 10 seconds,and i didnt see any response on leak detector either.The heat shield circuit on TM1 Nb5 target is leak tight at this stage. |

TM1 has received the Ta#37-LP and has been pumping since thursday. This morning the pressure gauges read, IMG1: 1.6x10^-6 T and IG1: 7.4x10^-7 T.
The high voltage power supply has been connected to all high voltage feedthroughs and the voltage raise to 42 kV.
High voltage conditioning started around 20 kV and after few minutes we were able to go up to 40 kV.
The pressure increases on both locations, IG1 went up to 8.1x10^-7T and IMG1 went up to 1.8x10^-6T.
The module is good to go. |

Chad and Anders inspected the test target in the hot cell today. The lid had been previously removed.
- The EE looked to have performed well.
- A piece of Ta foil was found inside the heat shield. It is not clear if this has been there during operation or if it entered the heat shield while in the hot cell. The foil has markings which indicate that it has seen heat.
- Travis measured 40 MOhm at 500V between heat shield and anode after the target was removed.

TM#2 with C#3 has been moved from the north hot cell to ITW. Also for the up coming site wide power outage, the ISAC Target Hall crane has been turned off and powered down, also the remote crane console has also been power down as well so that mean no ISAC TV for a few days. |

Turbos was started around 4pm. Later it was found that the manual valve for the two turbo pumps on the service cap was closed. The valve was open and pumping resumed. The roughing vacuum was high and increased into Saturday morning. The vacuum system was switched off on Saturday.
Purged MP1 using the purging function. Performance recovered. Started rouging.

Yesterday TM2 was inspected in the SHC. Spark marks were found both on the steerer wires and on the ANODE wire. The steerer wires (GND) were touching the gas lines (60kV). This is likely the cause of the sparking observed at the Conditioning Station (e-log).

Service cap leak checked this afternoon. Found multiple leaks of 10E-8 to 10E-7 range. Connected to the backing line with IG1 at ~4E-6 T, CG1A around 40 mT. Got responses around large round flange on top, rectangular side panels, water f/t on GND and water f/t on HV. Will resume leak checking tomorrow to attempt to pinpoint sources of leak more accurately. |
