The level dropped below 15 in over the weekend. MP2 stopped, but MP3 condtinued pumping.

e-fault submitted and Niel Wong has been contacted.

Niel Wong came and had a look at the system. We decided to close the circuit as the water is no longer used with the new power supplies. The circuit will be monitored, but not repaired unless it is needed again.

After trials with 2000 grid wet paper I have moved up to "red" scotch brite. This seems to have worked the best so far although it took two minutes to remove the ring that the other materials could not remove (see picture).

I have moved to next circuit. Currently at 3 minutes and 30 seconds with scotch brite but significant ring remains.

module side water block jig has been removed in preparation for electrical checks.

Entry  Monday, March 11, 2019, 14:34, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM2, , Water Block Polishing status

Stage 1 polishing (water scale and at least 99% of visual indium removed) has been achieved on all 2 seal water blocks that will be used (Ground electrode has not been polished). Process required 3-4 3minute cycles of the tool using scotch brite pads with the tool running at approximately 75 psi.

Stage 1 polish has been achieved on all single seal water blocks using the single pad tool run at 75 psi, 2 3 minute cycles per block using red scotch brite.

Phase 2 (intermediate) and Phase 3 (Final) polishing is complete on all water blocks on TM2 (minus ground electrode circuit which has only had a cursory cleaning). Phase 2 with 2000 grit wet sand paper and isopropynol for 1 minute with tool at 75 psi, Phase 3 with Veltex polishing cloth for 1 minute with tool at 75 psi.

The source tray side of the water block jig has been removed in preparation for moving the module to the  conditioning station for electrical tests.

Entry  Friday, April 26, 2013, 11:20, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM3, , Water Block Jig (back half)

The back half of the water block jig (services tray side) has been sucessfully located onto the module.

About 50% of the waterblocks have centered themselfs it their respective cups and the rest look good for concentricity but will require some gentle wiggling to get them to seat.

the warm cell mock-up has been inserted into the warm cell and final preparation for the remote test are being made.

Entry  Wednesday, March 01, 2023, 09:34, David Wang, Cooling, Maintenance, , , Visual inspection of HALCW for possible small water leak or drip.

I visually inspected HALCW system including water station section, both target pits, and de-ionizer system.  No small leak and drip was found .  The inspection in both target pits will be repeated after flow sensors are replaced.

A rotary limit switch was installed, attached to the shaft adjacent to the drive motor for the vertical drive system. This limit switch is not yet wired to the control system and operational - this will be done at a future date and the e-log will be updated.

Yesterday, TM4 B line was supplied with water at TCS for testing.  TCS: IG1 and IG2 had big response on it. See attachment. The water was disconnected right away, and line was purged. Vacuum recovered after overnight pump.

It was found that the conversion from voltage to vacuum (Torr) in EPICS is not correct for the XGS-600 controllers in use at the TCS. EPICS did not correspond to local values displayed on the controller. An e-fault has been submitted.

The roughing pump for TCS was started at ~3:00 and the turbo's turned on at ~4:00. This is the minimum time for the module to pump down.
