I connected TM2 and CS vacuum system. All vacuum pumps on TM2 and CS are started .The pumping down is good so .far

Entry  Monday, April 02, 2012, 08:17, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Development, , , conditioning station IMC pump down.

I pumped down conditioning station IMC today. The inside bellow pressure is -20 psi on the gauge.Visually checked the bellow before and after pump. The bellow is in retracted condition now.

Entry  Thursday, April 12, 2012, 14:40, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Development, TM1, , conditioning staion and TM1 is under TP1 and TP2 pumping now.

TM1 moved to conditioning station to today. After moving, I connected the vacuum system which include all gauges ,vacuum lines , controllers, and fans.I started roughing the station through two turbo pumps(on TM1) . After 2 hours roughing, the station vacuum went to 100 mtorr. I started TP1 and TP2 on TM1 and turned on 3 gauges (png1 on service cap, ig1 on service cap ,and png4 on emittance box) . All  turbo pumps and high vacuum gauges work fine .The pumping down of the station is smooth so far. With only 1 hour turbo pump on all three gauges readings are at low -5 torr range. The fans for cooling the turpump are also turned on. Everything is fine.

I connected vacuum system to TM1 and conditioning station and started two turbo pumps yesterday. The pumping an d vacuum readings  are verg good so far(all below 5xE-6 torr). Helium pressure test on heat shield circuit will be fulfilled next week.

Entry  Thursday, April 26, 2012, 09:23, David Wang, ITE, Repair, TM4, , changed flow wheel on ITE TM4 contaiment box water circuit

The the magnetic field on ITE TM4 flow wheel  was gone yesterday. So there is no water signal on this circuit. The water flow is fine ,and the wheel is rotating. I removed 1 shielding block on ITE and replaced the old wheel with a new one.Now the containment box water signal is normal. The problem is fixed. The shielding block is back.

Entry  Wednesday, December 04, 2024, 09:00, David Wang, Facilities, Standard Operation, TM2, , all water lines on TM2 have been purged.

all water lines on TM2 have been purged. Refilled them(except HS ) with 60psi nitrogen for module silo storage before next year using.

Entry  Wednesday, March 02, 2016, 09:51, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM2, , all water lines on TM2 and TM4 are purged.

All water lines on TM2 and TM4 are purged for upcoming water lines helium pressure test.

ZrC#8 has been removed from TM2. Upon removal of the high current tube heater bolts it was noticed that the tube was broken. Also the 9 pin connector has an arc mark (see pictures attached).

Ta#59 has been installed with new fasteners. High current fasteners torqued to 130 in lbs.

ZrC#7 was transfered to a spent target disposal pail today and removed from the hot cell. The "hot" end of the TM4 coil end was also disposed of in the same pail (#129)

Thursday, March 21, 2024, 11:33 Three channels are available now for thermocouple readouts from the Target multipin. Wiring from the PLC modules to the connection terminal blocks and labeling done.

Wires for TM#2 steering elements, and png gauge have been run down to the containment box level. Chad has placed them in the little cable trays. Slack has been pulled back. and termination of the wire will be done on the 7th of May. A modification was done to the signal line of the png gauge wire ultem block, as grounded screw was inserted to allow for strain relief so the end would hopefully quit breaking. See attached pictures for the details.

Entry  Wednesday, November 27, 2013, 15:24, Bevan Moss, South Hot-Cell, Maintenance, TM3, , Wiring Harness Electrical Test IMG_1269.JPG

Maico removed the containment box today allow Travis and I to further test the wiring harness. I disconnected the junction block and Travis and I repeated the test from yesterday. The all lines except the PNG tested OL. The module was then lowered and the twisted pair connected to the pin that corresponds to the steerer labeled BTM (it is likely this is not labeled correctly). This testing showed showed that the source of the short found yesterday is in the wiring harness or the source tray. The PNG gauge was then tested again. When beeping out the harness to find the location of the pin it was found that the short had gone away. This circuit was then tested with the megger at 500V and showed OL. Don Jackson has suggested looking at the SHV feed through. It is difficult to determine where the source of the problem is as it is intermittent. The source tray side wiring harness for the steerers was then disconnected from the steerers and tested to OL. Finally the connections on the source tray were tested. It was determined that the third socket down (see attached picture) has a short somewhere to ground. When Chad returns on Friday I will have him complete a visual inspection and if the source can be found we may be able to deflect the line. Failing that to repair this connection a new steerer cone assembly will need to be installed.

The 2A3 window now has a lid, and lift yolk on it and it has been installed in the spent target vault in spot 2A. The lid is a normal unmodified and has no sealant on it.

The pail containing window was transferred from the Storage Vault to the Cyclotron Vault Tunnel Storage 2017 Mar 24. It was placed in a brick bunker along the north wall and marked with item #1434. RPG storage form is attached.

Highest field measured at 0.5 m was 3000 uSv/h with an estimate of 4000 uSv/h on contact with the pail. Pail exterior was not contaminated. See attached storage form for details.

The south hot cell window has been found to be leaking oil. Upon inspection yesterday I found that the bolts compressing the gasket on the cold side were "loose". I have re-torqued them to the specification provided by the manufacturer in the attached procedure.
