The SiC#29 CTL target has been taken apart with the help of Isaac and Chad. Electrical measurements were done between Target and Heat Shield as the target
was disassembled. Work was done on October 2nd, 4th, 7th and 8th.
The megger showed about 30kOhm at 50V with the following changes |

The conductance check on the electrical check was found to be outside of accepted values for the TBHT at 7.0 mOhm. A successful attempt to reduce the
conductance was made by re-tightening the bolts on the TGHT legs in the SHC. Grant operated the manipulator and torqued the bolts to about 1/8 of a turn
with the air ratchet. The conductance across the TGHT (A-B) could be improved from 7.0 mOhm to 6.2 mOhm by re-tightening the bolts. The value is still |

The target was inspected by Chad and Anders in the Hot Cell. Electrical megger tests were done during the assembly. It was found that Insulators No 3
(ITD0311) and No 2 (ITD0310) failed to hold voltage after the run.

|
David W. has installed two SST Proteus flow meters, model OV7006FTA32, on ITW Heat Shield and Coil. The flow meters are connected to a power supply and
a data logger in the electrical room.
The Heat Shield flow meter has SN 00278112 and is on the Black wire pairs and connected to CH3 & CH4 on the logger. |

When the Containment Box was opened today by Chad for a target change, we found the conductor insulator block B (ITD0054) to be broken close to the right
TGHT terminal. Chad was nevertheless able to remove the target. See DocuShare and
attached file for photos. |

See attached pdf and DocuShare for more photos. It may be possible
to clean some of it from the Ground Electrode. |

The BIAS voltage was brought up between 1:30pm and 5pm. Sparks tripped the BIAS power supply at voltages between 20 - 24 kV. Multiple attempts
were made. The current was about 50-60 uA. |

NOTE: If there is a problem with the chiller unit (ie Fault 1 or Fault 2), a power cycle may reset the VFDs for the fans and clear the problem.
To do so it is necessary to wait long enough for the VFDs to power off completely. The display will first start to flash before going dark. Wait another
few seconds before powering the system back up. The chiller unit is located on the ISAC I Penthouse Roof. |

NOTE: If cooling is required, the compressors will have to be run manually. Make sure to switch it off again when the water has reached an acceptable
temperature.
The staging did not work properly this morning. Dave Morris have been contacted and will look into it. |
