IRIS beam delivery is completed with extra 3 days of beam providing to them.

18O2 and 40Ar+2 were delivered with few attenuators i place.

Controls group may need some assistance from OLIS group in order to trouble shoot the problem.

Last January 17th 2014 we removed an in-line resistor (100K 10W) from IOS:YCB1A because we do not think that it is needed.

I updated an old drawing ISK4478D (MS & MCIS Optics) and created 2 new ones: ISK4583D (Electrical Diagram for SS & MS) and ISK4585D (SS & MS Optics)

I created a new drawing: ISK4586D that shows the Optics for OLIS with 3 Ion Source.

I updated 2 drawings that show the OLIS skimmers.

A.  ISK4363D for the OLIS Skimmers BOP connections, we have 7 skimmers cables (6 wires per cable) going in and 16 skimmers channel going out to Controls.

B.  ISK4365D that shows the skimmers cables location along the OLIS beamline.

Arthur and Derek had a look at the OLIS Bender Magnet P/S and found a problem with the Polarity Switch, it was set up upside down, they fixed that.

Note: We do not need a Polarity Switch for OLIS may be we should remove or bypass it, at the moment when the PS goes OFF we need to use the reverse Polarity to Bend the Beam the right way.

MCIS-

cleaning out source to remove potassium and calcium.

Areas cleaned with scotch-brite and then wiped with methanol:  plasma chamber, tuning chamber (ports opened for access), TP3 tube.  The inside of the ground electrode tip has been removed and sand blasted clean.  The inside of the ground electrode has been wiped as much as possible (very limited access).

 The ALGA amplifier has been unplugged and moved.

IOS mass scan does not work.

Service of MCIS.  Plasma chamber cleaned.  Repaired shorted, Right steering plate.  Added shields to help prevent coating of wires.  Beam is off centre on first collimator of steering assembly.

Moved Ground electrode away from PE approximately 0.10".

  Note:  the plasma chamber and ground electrode tip are clean.

2015-05-19  Repaired shorted MWS PE.  Internal short was found.  The source chamber was vented and cleaned.  The beaker was replaced with a new one (it was coated with carbon).  WPI2015-05-19-2
