E-fault 7258.

Edi replaced the backing pump on June 5th.

Entry  Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 09:23, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, TSH:MB1 Trip & MB1 June 10th water leak

A water leak on MB1 was found and reported by operations on June 10th e fault 7429

MB1 can not be switched on due to an TSH:MB1 water flow trip. Paddle wheel is rotating.

Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 14:03: Paddle wheel replaced with a used one from beam lines. Model SST150. Signal recovered.

Entry  Thursday, June 19, 2014, 10:48, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, FC0 did not retract from beam line

Upon inspection it was found that the bolt attaching the FC to the actuator had fallen off. The bolt was reattached and FC0 can be actuated in/out again.

Entry  Wednesday, July 09, 2014, 14:08, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, FEBIAD ANODE current readback

The read back of the ANODE current was confirmed to be working today with help of Ray D. using a 1kOhm resistor. There is an offset in the read back which can explain why no current was seen on SiC#30. The resistor between CATHODE and GND was changed from 100 kOhm to 50kOhm.

Travis assisted in installing a temperature reading RTD from Omega (SA1-RTD-MTP) on the water supply. The RTD has been installed with a 503 Ohm resistor => 0V = -175.75 C, 10V = 205.71 C. The RTD has been connected to Ch 9 on the data logger.

Offset calibration data towards the SUPPLY temperature reading is attached.

Thursday, August 14, 2014, 08:40: Rebooted IOC. Still reading full scale only. FC0 reads full scale with signal cable removed.

e-fault 7545

Thursday, August 14, 2014, 11:28: Graham called to inform me that all of the 8 channels on the module was reading high. TRIUMF does not have a spare. He will arrange to have the module repaired.

Tuesday, August 19, 2014, 16:27: Graham has brought the system back into operation with a new vqsx module from the ICB stand.

Possible controls problem. Breaker 18 found latched. Can not be re-energized. Burnt smell in PLC / HV area. e-faut 7561

Thursday, August 21, 2014: Dave Morris had a look and was able to isolate the problem to be with one of the low voltage power supplies in the PLC panel.

Friday, August 22, 2014: New 12V and 24V power supplies installed. PLC cabinet vacuumed. A new 24V fan with filter will also be installed.

Tuesday, August 26, 2014: Power restored to PLC cabinet. System is operational again.

Vacuum at 1.7E-7 T

Corrected title from off to timed out . It seems the controller lost contact with the pump when I touched the rack. The pump recovered right back to 38 kRPM upon restart.
