Turned off the HV and locked up the transformer. Isolated the ion source box. The target is under vacuum and the water is still on.

Today, did a did a mass scan: plotdump-local-clean.txt Sep30 11 12-20-08.txt

Optimized a bit the tune with Friedhelm, then started the Target Cooldown.

Started the heaters conditioning: TGHT up to 580A and TBHT up to 230A.

Started the HV conditioning: TSG:BIAS=30kV

The gas system has been checked. The variable valve opens at about 7.55 very fast. Please be careful when using it. Stepsize for opening around this value should be 0.01. Gas lines have been pumped with pump in the high voltage rack. Ne leak was opened to release pressure.

• While testing SiC#26 a leak was discovered on the water line to the heat shield. The leak was in the right joint (see attachment). The heat shield water lines were removed from the test stand and repaired in the Machine Shop. 
• Kapton was added to the FEBIAD coil line to prevent it from shorting to the target heater line (see attachment).

Monday, September 26, 2011, 09:00: Opened up water flow. Vacuum rose from 3e-6 to 3e-5 torr in 30 s. Closed water flow.

Monday, September 26, 2011, 09:00: Venting for leak check.

Monday, September 26, 2011, 10:20: Pressurized water lines with 120 PSI He. Leak detected on right water line connection to heat shield.

Monday, September 26, 2011, 12:00: Leak repaired. Pumping down. Kapton added on target  heater cooling line to prevent short with cooling line for FEBIAD coil.

Monday, September 26, 2011, 12:47: Started turbo pumps. 

Monday, September 26, 2011, 15:45: Opened up water flow. Vacuum stable at 3.5e-6 torr.Target ready to be heated.

Tuesday, September 20, 2011:

Did another mass scan today at 5:40. Saved as: plotdump-local-clean.txt Sept 20 11 11-51-20.txt

Started target cool-down. Tomorrow the target would be ready to be removed from the Test Stand.

Wednesday, September 21, 2011:

Turned off the HV & optics.

Target is ready to be removed. Currently, it's under vacuum and the water is still on.

Heaters conditioning went fine: 580A and 230A.

Did a mass scan:

Plotdump-local-clean.txt Sept19 11 12-45-22.txt

Set for Li-7 for over the night on TMS:FC6.

Started the HV conditioning: TSG:BIAS=30kV and TSH:EE=-700V.
