Both turbo pumps at the source box were found off. TSG:TP1A has been started normally. TSG:TP1B does not spin up above 3KRPM even after several attemps. A fault report has been send to vacuum group.

The leak valve has been tested with He and a leak detector. The leak valve could regulate in the complete range of the leak detector. 10^-11 to 10^-4 atm cc/s

In January Controls will install a new firewall for ISAC Test Stand. Until then ISAC Test Stand can be used, but it may require an IOC reboot once in while.

Entry  Tuesday, December 13, 2011, 14:10, Aurelia Laxdal, , , , , , , , Test Stand IOC reboot

Evgeniy rebooted the ISAC Test Stand IOC. Re-started EPICS at the Test Stand.

Found all 4 turbo pumps off and their backing valves closed. Re-started the pumps.

  • No burn marks found on the 9-pin connectors.
  • Pumping down. Target will be stored under vacuum for now. Target is scheduled to go to Hot Cell on Oct. 20th. Electrical connections (target/tube heater + coil) are not connected

Entry  Wednesday, September 28, 2011, 14:11, Friedhelm Ames, SiC#26, , ITE, TM4, , , , gas system checked and pumped

The gas system has been checked. The variable valve opens at about 7.55 very fast. Please be careful when using it. Stepsize for opening around this value should be 0.01. Gas lines have been pumped with pump in the high voltage rack. Ne leak was opened to release pressure.

  • While testing SiC#26 a leak was discovered on the water line to the heat shield. The leak was in the right joint (see attachment). The heat shield water lines were removed from the test stand and repaired in the Machine Shop.
  • Kapton was added to the FEBIAD coil line to prevent it from shorting to the target heater line (see attachment).
Entry  Friday, September 23, 2011, 16:40, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, 9-pin connectors swapped on source tray

Friday, September 23, 2011, 16:3: The connection on the 9-pin connector for FEBIAD targets showed burn marks from the previous FEBIAD tests. Corresponding mark was found on the connector on the target side. Because of this the upper and lower 9-pin connectors were swapped to have a clean connector for the next FEBIAD target.
