On Monday October 1, the HP-FEBIAD source was turned ON again, to complete the operator training. The last session was yesterday and for the time being
the ISAC operators can play with the source when time allows, and from the ISAC Control room. For this purpose the source will be kept on this week and
also over the week-end. |

Thursday, November 01, 2012, 14:57, Aurelia Laxdal, TiC#3, LP-SIS, ITW, TM1, , , , TSH:TGHT readback stopped at 264.5A (for a higher setpoint)
|
The TSH:TGHT stopped at 263.7A, but the setpoint is still ramping (now at 421A). The voltage is set correctly: have 6.238V setpoint and 4.386V readback.
The reading on the Power Supply shows 418A. Through the window the target assembly looks at high temperature. The readback on Epics seems stuck.

All TPS optics, with the exception of TPS:Q4 cannot be turned off. E-Fault#6395 for Controls.
Same for the TSG optics: CB1, VCB1 and CBC.

Target looks OK. The right leg was a bit much out of center and will be adjusted in the lab.
The torque required to loosen the bolts were measured (from left to right):
Target legs: 48 and 30 in lbs |

|
Evgeniy and Kazuya investigated the problem with TSH:TGHT readbacks and they came to the conclusion that the PS is faulty, and the PLC reads correctly
the signal sent by the PS. Kazuya is redirecting the E-Fault from Controls to PS.
Ray Dube estimated few weeks (4-6) to send the PS offsite for repairs. This needs to be scheduled. For the time being, one can use the Test Stand |
