|
Based on a request from CNL (attached), modifications were made to the wire ropes protruding through the tops of F-308s to add a crimped loop which acts
as a lifting feature. Tests were performed (report attached) on 10 sample units to validate the strength of these loops, since each loop could not be tested
in-situ once the pails were already packed in F-308s. CNL has reviewed and approved the test report. |

On Friday, September 6, 2024 Model 'N' remote arm #9352 was removed from the NHC right side installed position to investigate an ongoing issue
with the tong motion circuit (no motion on the remote side when handle on operator side operated).
Inspection revealed that the tong cable on this arm have hopped its cable drum and rapped around the shaft of the cable drum. As well, the tong |

Model N remote arm serial #9342 tong cable has been un-jammed from between pulley 3D (see picture) and casting (this is an ongoing issue with #9342 and
9352) and cable restrung and exercised to check motion. Tong system is now functional but exhibits excessive slack. Next step will be to check tension
of the elevation/twist cables and adjust the pulley block if required (this pulley block houses both the elevation twist cable pulleys and the tong cable |

|
Isaac and Chad disengaged the slave end of the manipulator and performed a slave removal through the slave removal roof hatch. This is part of investigation
into a 'Z' motion tape that is "rubbing" on its drum on the master side of the manipulator during manual 'Z' retraction of 'Z' extension.
This also was the first test of the concept of removing the manipulator slave through the manipulator hatch that was built into the roof. |

The testing of the mock-up and tooling has commenced.
Source tray mock-up has been driven into the mock-up and the first two water block connections have been made; the first with the torque limiting
T-handle tool and the second with the torque limiting air rachet attachment. Both seem to work well, although achieving the required torque with |

The source tray for the mock-up has been setup for waterline bending and soldering/brazing.
Thanks to Travis for finding the photos for the TM3 rebuild that took place in the anteroom in 09' and Maico and Dan for the support in ironing
the issues with the source tray side soldering issues. |

A cable track was installed between the mini-storage vault and the silos, for the purpose of implementing a retractable cable chain (e-chain). This will
allow for cables to be managed during door opening/closing, so that remote control operation of the door will be possible in the future. See Work Permit

On May 16th 2013 the module was HV conditioned all day. As a result the maximum stable voltage has been increased to about 47kV (~4kV more than last
test). A maximum voltage of 49kV was achieved but the module was very unstable. Attached is the data from the testing. Note that occasionally the sparking
caused the PS to reset, it was turned back on and the voltage increased back to what it was (or lower) quickly. |
