There is a huge leak on TM1 containment box window. I did a 70 psi helium pressure test on all TM1 water circuits this morning. The LD base leak rate was 0.0XE-9 atm.cc/sec. When applying the 70 psi helium to containment box window circuit, the leak rate on LD jumped to 1XE-4 atm.cc/sec in 5 seconds.I released the helium source right away,t but the conditioning station is full of helium  molecules already, and the leak rate on LD stays at 1xE-5 atm.cc /sec.  The leak on this circuit is huge.    Other water lines are good.

Changed by Dave Morris.

New value is 1E-5 T (old value was 7.09E-5 T)

Entry  Monday, April 27, 2015, 10:28, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx12, TM4 has been partially disconnected at CS.

TM1 has been partially disconnected at CS for tomorrow move. The CS TP1S is still running and will be stopped and disconnected tomorrow morning.

Entry  Tuesday, April 28, 2015, 10:21, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx12, CS and TM1 was vented with Argon gas

Dan and I vented CS and TM1 with Argon gas before it is moved this morning.

Entry  Tuesday, April 28, 2015, 10:26, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx12, ITW target pit o-ring seal replacement.

Dan and I replaced ITW target pit o-ring seal(.275DIA X42"ID). It is an annual job before first beam to ITW. The old o-ring was moved and the groove was vacuum cleaned. The new o-ring has been installed properly.

Entry  Tuesday, April 28, 2015, 11:14, Travis Cave, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, UC#12, Module move

TM#1 with UC#12 has been moved from the conditioning station to the west target station.

Entry  Tuesday, April 28, 2015, 17:17, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx12, TM1 has been connected in ITW.

TM1 has been connected in ITW. Five turbo pumps have  been started. The TM1 containment box window line is capped on the service cap and the line is pump town to E-4 torr range.

Entry  Friday, May 22, 2015, 15:44, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx12, 5 Shielding blocks have been transferred from ITE to ITW.

5 shielding blocks have been transferred from ITE to ITW. I  checked all ITW water signals, and they are good.  ITW is configured to take proton beam.

Weekly update the schedule after some jobs have been finished in this week.

Entry  Friday, June 19, 2015, 11:43, David Wang, ITW, Repair, TM1, , ITW external water leak on dump circuit 6x

There was an external water leak in ITW during the last beam running time. The leak started after the shielding blocks transfer(May 22). It cause a constantly water level drop on S-tank(0.5 "/day average). Today , after the blocks are moved , the leak source has been found. Water seeped through a fitting on ITW dump circuit pressure gauge. The leak water slowly flow around the TM1 on the tank flange. most of them are dried out, but left some stain on dump module and tank flange. By closing the supply and return water valves on the ITW dump circuit, the leak is stopped now. We will fix this problem after the module is moved out and the radioactive field is low.  See attachments.

Entry  Tuesday, June 30, 2015, 11:27, Travis Cave, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, UC#12, Module moved

TM#1 with UC#12 has been moved from the west station to the south hot cell.

Entry  Tuesday, June 30, 2015, 12:37, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx#12, UCx #12 Removal

UCx#12 has been removed from TM1 and placed in a pail with argon.

Right leg (B) of target is clearly broken.

Containment Box cover re-installed and module ready to move.

Friday, July 10, 2015, 14:15: Roughing with new pump

Entry  Thursday, July 09, 2015, 14:02, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Development, TM1, , TM1 is pumping down at CS

TM1 and CS  vacuum system are connected. All turbo-pumps are started. The new TP1S works fine also. The pumping down looks good so far. During the TM1 and CS roughing down time, Joe .M noticed a Rn-220 level surge up in TH . Then, the Rn220  level slowly dropped back. Anders suspected this Rn-220 surging is related to the TM1 roughing down at CS. We decided we will stop the pumps , vent the CS , and roughing  again tomorrow. During the same time Joe will monitor  Rn-220 level in TH to see if the surging is repeatable. We want to learn more on this TH Rn-220 issue.

Entry  Friday, July 10, 2015, 14:41, Anders Mjos, Conditioning Station, Maintenance, TM1, , Replaced roughing pump

The roughing pump was replaced with a more leak tight pump due to the discovery of Rn-220 migration while roughing on TM1 in TCS

Entry  Monday, July 13, 2015, 11:31, Travis Cave, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, no target, Module moved

TM#1 has been moved back to the south west silo from the conditioning station.

Entry  Thursday, September 10, 2015, 08:55, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM1, , TM1 Window Leak Diag. P0000122.JPG

Vacuum leak check on the window line circuit of TM1 took place yesterday and again to confirm this morning. Both days the response to helium is in the area of a soldered reduction fitting at the top of the containment box above and to the shutter side of the extraction column (see attached picture). To verify this morning each joint in the system had a 1 second shot of helium and then timed for 1 minute to wait for a response. This area responded both times tested at about 40 seconds...no response at any of the other locations.
