Entry  Thursday, April 28, 2016, 06:28, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Maintenance, TM2, , TCS water system are turned off.

TCS water system worked fine overnight. I turned off TCS water system at 6:16 AM this morning. Start of purging TM2 water lines for helium pressure test again this morning.

2016-4-28 7:58AM. Disconnected TM2 water lines at TCS. Purged them with compression air each for 5 minutes.

Entry  Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 10:47, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, , TM2 leak check at TCS, water test.

The following water circuits in TM2 are connected at TCS and running with water now : target oven+ - ( one circuit), tube heater+ -( one circuit), coil1 and 2(one circuit), MSP, and EE. The HS and window are open circuits now so they can not be supplied with water.  During the check before we knew HS and window circuit were close to perfectly sealed. So, The test result should not be affected without them

The TCS water pumps are started at 8:28 AM. All TCS high vacuum gauge readings are getting slight better after that.

Weekly update. This is the last update on 2016 winter shut down schedule. The new TH schedule for beam130  will be posted weekly after this. All jobs in winter shut down schedule were finished on time.

Entry  Monday, April 18, 2016, 09:07, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM2, , venting TCS with argon.

Anders reported a possible air leak on TM2 and TCS by watching RGA  this morning. I found the quick connector on F terminal on the top of the module is leaking air. It is only used as "X" terminal for Febiad without  water. So, it should be blind capped instead of installing a quick connector. It was installed with a  blind cap before. I borrowed it for leak check on coil lines at SHC, but forgot to put it back right away. Instead, I put a quick connector on it later. This caused the problem. Anyway The TCS need to be vented , and a blind cap  will be installed on the F terminal.

2014-04-18, 9:24AM, I changed the quick connector with a blind cap on F terminal. the rough pump is started now.

Entry  Thursday, April 14, 2016, 12:56, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, , 5 shielding blocks have been moved to ITW.

The ITW is configured to take proton beam.

 Thursday, April 14, 2016, 07:50: RGA on

Friday, April 15, 2016, 08:09 : Ratio between water and air is higher than normal (indicating possible air leak). See attachment. 3.5 more H2O than N2.  (Ratio in TM3 Nov 2015 was 82:1)

A leak was found on the o-ring between the module flange and TCS. This could be fixed by cleaning the o-ring and sealing surface. The Window line is not closed and was accidentally pressurized with He on April 25

Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 08:47: David started the water package.

Wednesday, April 27, 2016, 08:15: Switched off chiller / water cooling.

Wednesday, April 27, 2016, 14:41: Switched chiller / water cooling back on.

Entry  Friday, April 08, 2016, 08:48, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, , , ITW water signal interlock check.

I did a ITW water signals interlock check with ISAC opp. They are checked once a year before first beam on.

2016-04-13 Same test is done on ITE also. Everything is good.

Entry  Friday, April 08, 2016, 08:13, Anders Mjos, ITE/ITW Cooling, Maintenance, , , High Active Water Resistivity 2016-04-08_ISAC_High_Active_Water_Resistivity.png

The high active water resistivity took a long time to recover after the upgrade to the water cooling circuit. The system needed about a month (from end February to end March) to recover to nominal values. See attached plot of archiver data.

TM1 has now been connected in ITW and the water resistivity remains > 8 MOhm cm, which should allow normal operation. However, the resin is suspected to be approaching end of life. Work is ongoing to get a new replacement resin tank.

Entry  Friday, April 08, 2016, 07:13, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx15, TM1 has been connected in ITW.

After ITW HV test is done, TM1 has been connected to ITW. Water signals are checked in electrical room. They are good.

Entry  Friday, April 08, 2016, 07:10, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, , TM4 vacuum has been connected in ITE.

All turbo pumps are started yesterday. The pumping down is good over night.
