TM#2 with Ta#54 has been moved from the south hot cell to the conditioning station.

1629   Thursday, September 28, 2017, 10:50 David WangConditioning StationStandard OperationTM2 Helium pressure test on TM2 window and HS water lines at TCS.

I did helium pressure test on TM2 containment box window and HS line at TCS. @ 70psi helium  for 3 minutes, HS:2.2XE-7 atm.cc/sec., Window:1.2XE-7 atm.cc/sec. There is no change on HS. But LR on window is bigger than before that was in E -9atm.cc/sec range.

Due to problems with the regulating valve WPV1, the VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) for the pump has been programmed to do a slow (2 min) ramp up. WPV1 has been bypassed and left fully opened. Work was done by Dave Morris

Cooling water not yet connected to TM.

High leakage current still observed. 200 uA at 22 kV. Did not go past 25 kV.

Friday, September 29, 2017, 14:05: Started heater ramping to 580 / 200 A at 1 A/min

Friday, September 29, 2017, 14:09: BIAS / EZL / EE at 20 / 10 / 1.5 kV. BIAS current at 90 uA

Monday, October 02, 2017, 10:29: Accidentally set BIAS current limit to 0 A (step size too large) at 28 kV. This also caused the TGHT to got to 0 A. Recovered to 580 A in 10 - 15 s.

Monday, October 02, 2017, 12:07: Ramping down heaters at 2 A / min

The TM2 HS line was leak checked at SHC yesterday . 0.9xE-9 atm.cc/sec.Helium sprayed by Chad, NO leak.  It was helium pressurized at TCS this morning. Leak rat:2.5 XE-7 atm.c/sec. The result  is same as last time check. No concern.

The results of the various electrical check done on the target module on November 7th and 8th of 2017. Checks were done with the old Ta#54 target without a target and finally with the new Ta#55 target. See the attached PDF for results.

  1661   Tuesday, November 14, 2017, 10:01 Travis CaveITWStandard OperationTM2Ta#55Module move

TM#2 with Ta#55 has been moved from the conditioning station to the west target station. The field was measured on the access panel to the service chase and the field was found to be 430uSv/hr at one meter from the module.

TM2 has been connected in ITW. All turbo-pumps are started. Everything works fine.

  1666   Wednesday, December 13, 2017, 15:32 Anders MjosAssembly/Bench TestMaintenanceTM2 Source Tray inspection

The Source tray was inspected in the RH shop today by Anders, Friedhelm and Jens. The routing of the lines are satisfactory, however a design proposal to remove the ground electrode line will be made. This design will have to ensure a proper connection from the electrode to ground (using the window cooling lines). All other lines are OK at this point. Some fine adjustments are expected after brazing and soldering to maintain high voltage separation. Photos are available on DocuShare Collection-21401
