TM#1 with UCx#7 has been moved from the south hot cell to the west target station.

Entry  Wednesday, September 11, 2013, 09:35, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx, 5 shielding blocks have been moved to ITW

I moved 5 shielding blocks to ITW this morning .I checked the water signals in electrical room before the moving, and everything is fine. The argon venting systemin ITW and electrical room is ready also.

Entry  Thursday, September 12, 2013, 09:29, Travis Cave, ITW, Standard Operation, TM4, SiC#29, module move

TM#4 with SiC#29 has been moved to the south hot cell move went well.

Entry  Friday, October 18, 2013, 10:17, Bevan Moss, ITW, Repair, , , Paddle Wheel

Yesterday I visually inspected the paddle wheel and noticed that it was spinning freely and constant. As the signal was intermittent replaced the coil at the back of the wheel only. This does not require access to the high active water. With the coil replaced the signal looked strong. I asked operations to keep and eye on it and advise if the problem has been resolved. I also discussed with David this morning and he informed me that this is the same procedure he would have followed.

I moved 5 shielding blocks from ITW to block storage area.

Entry  Tuesday, December 03, 2013, 10:35, Travis Cave, ITW, Standard Operation, , , fields above and in the target station with blocks off

The blocks have been removed from the west target station. The fields at the top of the target pit at the railing at waist level is about 80uSv/hr, Turbo pumps are about 805uSv/hr, backing lines for the turbos about a 1mSv/hr and the average field in the area of work down in the pit is about 600 to 750uSv/hr. The proton beam went off at 10:45 on December 2nd, these measurements were done at 09:00 on December 3rd.

Another set of field measurement was done at the west target station. At the top of the west target station at the railing the field ranged from 50 to 70 uSv/hr. The turbo pumps had field of about 650uSv/hr, the area over the dump was about 750uSv/hr, the area over the HV cover and the south side was about 450uSv/hr. These measurements were done at 13:15 on December 3rd.

Entry  Wednesday, December 04, 2013, 11:05, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM4, Ta41#, I disconnected TM4 in ITW

I disconnected TM4 in ITW .The job took about 20minutes and I got 0.11 msv dose.

Entry  Wednesday, March 12, 2014, 09:45, Travis Cave, ITW, Standard Operation, TM4, no target, module move

TM#4 has been moved from the north west silo to the west target station.

Entry  Thursday, March 13, 2014, 07:35, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM4, , TM4 and ITW turbo pumps have been started

I connected ITW  vacuum system to TM4. TM4 and ITW turbo pumps have been started successfully. The pumping down is good so far.

Entry  Wednesday, March 19, 2014, 15:46, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM4, , TM4 and ITE air to vacuum leak check and TM4 water lines helium test. 7x

With TM4 located in ITW, All air to vacuum seals  on ITW primary and secondary vacuum vessels have been leak  checked with leak detector hooked directly onto the TM4 service cap.The base LR :00xE-9atm.cc/sec. The ITW IG1 was 1.16xE-6 torr which was good. No leak has been found during the checking. Also, the TM4 water lines(except HS) had been  pressurized with 70 psi helium on each for 2 minutes. There was no response during the test. The ITW and TM4 are good on leak checking.See attachment pictures

Entry  Friday, April 04, 2014, 16:59, Anders Mjos, ITW, Development, , , Flow meters installed on Heat Shield and Coil water return 20140404_165829_1.jpg

David W. has installed two SST Proteus flow meters, model OV7006FTA32, on ITW Heat Shield and Coil. The flow meters are connected to a power supply and a data logger in the electrical room.

The Heat Shield flow meter has SN 00278112 and is on the Black wire pairs and connected to CH3 & CH4 on the logger.

The Coil flow meter has SN 00278113 and is on the Green wire pairs and connected to CH1 & CH2 on the logger.

The first channel (CH1, CH3) is temperature in degrees Celcius and the second channel (CH2, CH4) is flow rate in liters per minute.

A camera has been placed on the logger.

Flow rates today (2014-04-04):

HS        8.2 - 8.3 lpm
COIL    8.0 - 8.1 lpm

Calibration sheets

UPDATE 2014-04-11: Corrected HS to CH3 & CH4.
