Reconfigured TM2 gas line on the module top. It matches with the febiad gas line we are using on service tray now. Facing the module, both of them should be that right side line of two SST lines on feed-through. The gas line on TM2 was leak checked with a blind cap installed on service tray side and LD connected on module top this Tuesday. It is leak free with helium spray on the top of module and service tray.

We moved TM1 to ITW today, I connected TM1 to ITW, and started all turbo pumps this afternoon. TP4s is very difficult to bring to 38 KRMP now. I have to use soft start model and tried twice to get this pump started (1.5 hours). This pump always had a difficult start time during the past 2-3 runs. I talked with Friedhelm and we think it should be replaced after this run. I will issue an e-fault on this pump and try to get a new pump from vacuum group. It will take 2 hours to change this pump. I could do this job with another person help. Or, vacuum group could do it. Don can schedule a time for this job before next run. Anyway, it should work fine for this run.  The water interlock check related to TM1 is done. I will do the rest before blocks on. All TM1 water signals are strong and good. All vacuum gauge readings are good so far(below5.0xe-5 torr).

TM 1 is in ITW now. All connections are done. The turbo pumps had been started this afternoon. The vacuum looks good so far. The water interlock check which related to TM1 are done. They are good. All TM1 water signals are visually checked and they are strong.  The rest interlock check ( MCR XT page) will be finished before shielding blocks moving. The MAA is locked and ITE is ready for proton beam.

I connected TM1 in ITW yesterday. Everything is good so far. Travis was with me when i did the job.

Entry  Monday, April 20, 2015, 10:22, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx12, TM1 with UCx12 has been connected to CS and ready for conditioing.

The TH will be locked during the TM1 conditioning time due to  an interference issue between CS HV cover and a gas analysis valve on top of TM1. A work permit has been issued for the conditioning job because of it.

Leak check TM1 window circuit soldering stems inside service cap when module is located at NE silo. LD base LR 0.0xE-9atm.cc/sec.  Only 1 second tiny amount  helium sprayed on stems soldering joints . LD got a quick response to high E-7 atm.cc/sec.Test is repeated again with same result.  See attachments

TM1 water lines helium pressure check at TCS is done. 70 psi helium was applied to water circuits. Leak detector base leak rate 0.0 x E-9 atm.cc/sec, base pressure 0.0 x E-4 torr. The result shows as below:

Ta+   0.0 X E-9 atm.cc/sec 3minutes stabilizing
Ta-  0.0 X E-9 atm.cc/sec 3minutes stabilizing
Tube-  0.0 X E-9 atm.cc/sec 3minutes stabilizing
Tube+  0.0 X E-9 atm.cc/sec 3minutes stabilizing
MSP   0.0 X E-9 atm.cc/sec 3minutes stabilizing
EE   0.0X E-9 atm.cc/sec 3minutes stabilizing
HS  not tested without caps.
Window  E-5 range, leak on stem as we knew before.  10seconds to E-5

The results is good so far as we know the window line is leak on stem in service cap. The HS will be tested later with target on.

The service cap air to vacuum seals also have been checked. The PNG1 panel and side round panel close to shutter are leak. The o-rings on them need to be replaced.

On March 30th -2016, I doubled checked the air to vacuum seal on the TM1 service cap. The side round panel is leak free actually. The PNG1 panel is leak at the bottom side. Confirmed.

On march 31th-2016, The o-ring(1-1/ 2275) on TM1 PNG1 side panel has been replaced today. The o-ring slot and mating surfaces are cleaned, and new  o-ring is installed. The panel is put back to TM1 and all bolts are tightened.

Friday June 24 2011

The target module has been moved to the Conditioning Station (CS)

Pumping overnight

Saturday June 25 2011

Pressure Service Cap (SC) 3E-6 T

Pressure Containment Box (CB) 6.6E-6 T

High voltage test to 40 kV, unfortunately, the pressure is not great so we stop at 40 kV

Pressure at the end of the day: 1650H was, P SC 2.6E-6T

P CB 6.6E-6 T

Sunday June 26 2011

Pressure P SC 1.6E-6T

P CB 6.6E-6 T

It seems we have a leak. The pressure does not drop in the CB over one day.

Today June 27 2011

 Pressure P SC 1.2E-6T

P CB 6.6E-6 T

We leak check the target module and found two leaks, one on the ground electrode and one on the mounting plate cooling circuit.

This is a new one. We had test this line three times before and it was ok.

Action for tomorrow.

After CS vent,

Move TM1 to SHC

Survey

Connect LD to Mounting plate cooling circuit

Open Side panel and leak check.

Meeting at 0830H
