Travis Cave | South Hot-Cell | Standard Operation | TM4 | UO#3 | Electrical check |
Electrical check of TM#4 with UO#3 attached at the south hot cell see attached PDF for full results. It has been noted that the Anode to 60kV common is of a low value after consulting with Friedhelm Ames it was determined will will run with what we have. |

David Wang | Conditioning Station | Standard Operation | TM4 | uo#3 | leak check on heat shield circuit |
Chad and I leak checked the heat shield circuit after uc#3target installed. It took 5minutes to pump down the circuit to the leak detector bottom scales. All the vacuum lines and connections are leak checked by spraying helium. Chad sprayed helium to each vcr fittings for 2 seconds. There is no any response on leak detector . The test repeated one time and the result is same. The heat shield circuit is leak tight at this stage . We will move TM4 to conditioning station and pressure helium test the circuit.

David Wang | Conditioning Station | Standard Operation | TM4 | UO#3 | TM4 UO#3 target heat shield helium pressure check is done. |
Connected leak detector to TM4 and CS vacuum system. The vacuum readings on TM4 and CS:PNG4 3.6 xE-6 Torr, IG1 2.3xE-6torr, IG4(diagnostic box) 3.9xE-6 Torr. Leak detector base pressure:6.0xE-3 torr, base leak rate: 1.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec. Applied 80 psi helium to heat shield circuit for 5 mins . There is no response on leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight. |

David Wang | ITE | Standard Operation | TM4 | UO#3 | ITM4 in ITE connected and pumping down |
TM4 has been moved to ITE and connected there today. I started six turbo pumps this afternoon. One of TP4 back valve (one in pairs) didn’t open .It caused the TP4 difficult to start. I disconnected that control cable that plug to solenoid valve and reconnected it. Then it works fine. After this, TP4 started to normal speed easily. The vacuum readings are OK so far. Tomorrow morning they all should be around 6-7 X E-6 torr range. Water interlock checks related to TM4 have been finished. NO water supply to ITE dump and entrance to keep the system pressure over 90psi. All TM4 water signals are good and strong by watching them from electrical panel. Gas line connected and valves opened. Control page set to fibiad . |

David Wang | South Hot-Cell | Standard Operation | TM4 | NiO #1 | TM4 heat shield circuit leak check with NiO#1 target |
Chad and i did a leak check on TM4 heat shield circuit with new NiO#1 target installed. It took about 40 mins(much longer than usual) to pump down the circuit to leak rate 0.6x E-9atm.cc/sec and 0.0x E-4 torr o leak detector.
All vacuum lines and joints which connected to the leak detector had been helium sprayed and they are leak tight.Chad sprayed helium on each VCR joints for 2 seconds every time. During 1min waiting time, there is no any response on leak detector. Chad repeated same test again for double checking and we got same result. Chad finally flushed the helium around the target heat shield for 10 seconds.we waited for 1minute and found no response on the leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight at this stage. I will do a helium pressure test on this circuit when TM4 is in CS and under vacuum. |

leak detector pumped down to 0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec, and 0.0xE-4 torr. All high vacuum gauge readings at CS and TM4 are at low -6 range from 2.2xE-6torr to 4.2x E-6 torr. Applied 80 psi helium to heat shield circuit for 5minutes and there is no any response on leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight. |
