ZrC#8 has been removed from TM2. Upon removal of the high current tube heater bolts it was noticed that the tube was broken. Also the 9 pin connector has an arc mark (see pictures attached).

Ta#59 has been installed with new fasteners. High current fasteners torqued to 130 in lbs.

Wires for TM#2 steering elements, and png gauge have been run down to the containment box level. Chad has placed them in the little cable trays. Slack has been pulled back. and termination of the wire will be done on the 7th of May. A modification was done to the signal line of the png gauge wire ultem block, as grounded screw was inserted to allow for strain relief so the end would hopefully quit breaking. See attached pictures for the details.

559   Wednesday, November 27, 2013, 15:24 Bevan MossSouth Hot-CellMaintenanceTM3 Wiring Harness Electrical Test

Maico removed the containment box today allow Travis and I to further test the wiring harness. I disconnected the junction block and Travis and I repeated the test from yesterday. The all lines except the PNG tested OL. The module was then lowered and the twisted pair connected to the pin that corresponds to the steerer labeled BTM (it is likely this is not labeled correctly). This testing showed showed that the source of the short found yesterday is in the wiring harness or the source tray. The PNG gauge was then tested again. When beeping out the harness to find the location of the pin it was found that the short had gone away. This circuit was then tested with the megger at 500V and showed OL. Don Jackson has suggested looking at the SHV feed through. It is difficult to determine where the source of the problem is as it is intermittent. The source tray side wiring harness for the steerers was then disconnected from the steerers and tested to OL. Finally the connections on the source tray were tested. It was determined that the third socket down (see attached picture) has a short somewhere to ground. When Chad returns on Friday I will have him complete a visual inspection and if the source can be found we may be able to deflect the line. Failing that to repair this connection a new steerer cone assembly will need to be installed.

The pail containing window was transferred from the Storage Vault to the Cyclotron Vault Tunnel Storage 2017 Mar 24. It was placed in a brick bunker along the north wall and marked with item #1434. RPG storage form is attached.

Highest field measured at 0.5 m was 3000 uSv/h with an estimate of 4000 uSv/h on contact with the pail. Pail exterior was not contaminated. See attached storage form for details.

The south hot cell window has been found to be leaking oil. Upon inspection yesterday I found that the bolts compressing the gasket on the cold side were "loose". I have re-torqued them to the specification provided by the manufacturer in the attached procedure.

The west 'Z' motion cable on the east manipulator has successfully been replaced. The job took slightly less than an hour (including inspection of the scissor table hoses) and I received 0.075mSv. Scissor table hoses appear to be fine and also didn't "shed" or flake at all when checked by hand.

The water pumps for the conditioning station were turned on at ~11:45. It took longer to start the conditioning station as the air from the leak test had to be bled off and the make up water tank refilled. The valves on the water supply line were closed slightly to make up for the fact the water cooled power supply has been removed. DIF2 was installed by Maico so we can measure the flow in the primary side.

Yesterday a leak was discovered in the ISAC-I experimental hall. The leak appears to be at the connection between the evaporator and the return water line. 1 in of water was lost from TCS:TK1. The water is currently valved off to prevent further leakage.

A fault reportt has been submitted to mechanical services - awaiting response.

Leak repaired by Mechanical Services. A brass fitting had cracked and was replaced with a galvanized fitting.
