I disconnected TM4 in ITE. The heat shield water circuit is purged. I  closed the water supply to ITE.Now, the water system only supply water to ITW and the system pressure is 110 psi which is good.I visually checked S-tank sight glass,and the water level is stable comparing to last week. Also, I visually checked the ITW water signals  strength and stability on electrical panel from electrical room.Everything looks fine.

I disconnected TM4 in ITE this morning. The window circuit and heat shield circuit had been purged. The general field inside ITE is about 200usv/h.

I disconnected TM 4 in ITE on AUG 29th morning.The vacuum lines stay untouched and they will be disconnected on SEP 04th.

I disconnected TM4 in ITE. All water lines had been purged.Travis was with me .

HS had been purged. The ITE is under venting. The TM4 will be moved to SH on next Tuesday which is May 21th.

TM1 has been disconnected in ITW. All  water lines had been purged. Travis was with me during the job.

Dan and I  disconnected TM1 in ITW.

Disconnected EXIT1 in ITW. All cables , wires and air lines are label marked.

TM4 has been disconnected in ITE. Vacuum pumps and gauge are not disconnected yet.

TM2 has been disconnected in ITW. All water lines are nitrogen purged. Filled 60 psi argon to all Tm2 water lines for module storage in winter shut down.

ITW entrance module has been disconnected.  All connections are labelled before or during disconnection. The 24VDC electrical plug on ITW TP1S is broken . It will be replaced with a new plug. The lift yoke is installed onto module without difficulty.   

 David and I disconnected entrance module in ITE by following the procedure # 190510. And, the yoke was installed and left on for remote handling later. 

Dan and I replaced flow wheel on ITE HVC2 water flow sensor. The old wheel did rotate smoothly inside its SST case. The new wheel works fine.

I DISCONNECTED TM4 IN ITE. ALL WATER LINES HAD BEEN PURGED OUT WITH PRESSURE AIR.

[edit 2023-01-03] The crane was powered back on this morning - there do not appear to be any faults and it seems that the crane was unaffected by the power outage.

The ISAC target hall overhead crane was powered off for the holidays. Note that this may result in the commonly observed PLC battery failure issue when the crane is powered back on in the new year.

The target hall crane has been powered down by Don today in preparation for the power shutdown over the Holidays.

The crane pendant for the main hoist was upgraded to a FLEX EX2 style pendant by Canco Cranes. The installation work was performed by Matt at Canco, supervised by Tom Kauss, David Wang, and Adam Newsome. Installation work was performed in two phases since the initial installation did not provide adequate range and an antenna issue needed to be resolved (I2021-01-14-1, and I2021-02-16-1).

Items installed include:

• New pendant
• New antennae
• New receiver box, mounted on main crane control panel in the crane control room

The old receiver control box will be kept for some time in case there is a need to revert to the previous system for some reason.

The new system was tested by David Wang - including using the pendant at the far end of the target hall where range was previously an issue. Everything is reported to be in working condition. Remote mode is functioning as expected.

 When lifting up TM2 (20000lbs) this afternoon, TH crane has a strange noise on main hoist. The module was lift up less than 1 feet.when strange sound was noticed.  The module move was stopped right away,and module  was lowed back to SHC. The strange noise was confirmed later with SEG block six inches lifting up. Gordon crane technician will be here to tomorrow morning to investigate the problem.

In the AM today David and I used the crane to raise the ground plate sheet metal into place. This afternoon when I attempted to return the crane to its usual place I discovered that the crane no longer worked. Upon further inspection it appears that the PLC has lost power. I will follow up on this Monday morning. The crane is not supporting any load at this point.
