the switches and the solenoid are all wire up to 24VDC, when you open either of the little doors the solenoid switches this is also true if there is
a power loss. currently the solenoid is powered. |

|
Today the module was biased to 40kV in the conditioning station. The current draw was 0uA. Sparking started at 27 kV. I have attached the recording
from the strip tool of the vacuum while we were testing. After consulting Pierre if we should take the module to a higher voltage it was decided not to.
The purpose of this test we to check the interaction between the module, cover, new cooling line, EE and EINZEL cables. This test was considered a success |

Hello Ray and Yi
Completed a HV test with the water flowing today.

|
Today while putting the cover on the cord that goes to the controller was bumped. This bent the connector down and caused a vacuum leak. I tried
to tighten the bolts in the hope the leak would go away but it did not and I sheared one of the bolts off. David is inquiring with Edi if the pump can
be repaired or if it needs to be replaced. The good news is that the interlocks work exactly as planned. Upon detecting a leak they shut the turbos down |
Tuesday, February 26, 2013, 13:24, Travis Cave, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, CS Test Target #1, module move
|
TM#4 with CS Test Target #1 (dummy target) moved from the conditioning station to the east target station. Move went well. |
Tuesday, February 26, 2013, 13:53, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM4, , Replaced TM4 TP1
|
Bevan and I replaced TM4 TP1 today at conditioning station .The pump will be started this week when I do ITE and TM4 leak check . |

|
Dave Morris and I investigated the Faraday Cup today. It was found to be plumed in the wrong direction (fails in). This is not an issue for the
conditioning station as there is nothing down stream from the cup. Dave will change the controls to reflect this. |
Wednesday, March 13, 2013, 14:31, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, CS Test Target #1, Module Move
|
TM4 with CS Test Target #1 was moved from the SHC to the Conditioning Station. All went well. The welding cables came a little close to the cage,
David will bend them in more in the future. |

The cooling package was started at 10:00 today. See attached picture. There is another snap shot at 10:03. |
Thursday, March 14, 2013, 11:25, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, CS Test Target #1, Turbos Started
|
Turbos started at 11:14. TP1S achieved full speed in less than 2 minutes. TP1 and 2 tripped at 9 minutes. Restarted and reached at speed after
another 1 minute 20 seconds. |

|
Over the weekend Turbo pump one failed. It was attempted to restart the turbo in soft start but that also failed. Although the Vacuum was good
enough to operate both Turbos are required to pass commissioning. As such the pumps were turned off at ~10:00 today. Venting started at 12:00. |
Monday, March 18, 2013, 12:39, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM4, CS Test Target #1, TGHT PS Failure
|
The Model of the Power Supply (PS) is TSQLG 480-20/1500 and serial number is 2755.02.01.01.09.
We went to test the PS and supplied the required 480V and turned the local switch to on. At this point nothing happened, the
controls screen didn’t light up nothing. We tried to run the PS in remote mode as that is what it had previously been set at and again there was |
Monday, March 18, 2013, 15:28, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, CS Test Target #1, Vented With Argon

The conditioning station has been vented with argon. Time taken is not known but it is less than 3 hours. See attached picture for convectron gauge
readings. CG1A is in air. |
Tuesday, March 19, 2013, 09:55, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, CS Test Target #1, Turbo pump 1 replaced roughing started

David replaced the broken turbo pump this morning and I have started roughing at 9:54. |
Tuesday, March 19, 2013, 13:49, Bevan Moss, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, CS Test Target #1, Tubros Started
|
Turbo Pumps have been started and are in normal operation. TP1 which has recently been replaced was started in soft start and had no issues. TP2
was started normally and tripped prior to reaching speed. It was left for a while and restarted. When restarted it was still at 17KRPM, it reached normal
operation. |
Wednesday, March 20, 2013, 08:19, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM4, , Leak check new installed TM4 TP1 at conditioning station.
|
I leak checked new installed TM4 TP1 at conditioning station. The CS vacuum gauges reading were at 1.0-1.5xE-6 torr . Leak detector base leak rate 0.0xe-9atm.cc/sec,
base pressure 0.0xe-4torr. I sprayed helium around the pump inlet flange and KF 25 pump outlet flange to pump joint. There is no response on leak
detector. The new installed TP1 is leak tight. |
Friday, March 22, 2013, 18:49, Aurelia Laxdal, Conditioning Station, Development, TM4, FEBIAD HP with Dummy Target, Commissioning TCS - Part 1
|
Today, the commissioning of the TCS went well. The water/vacuum interlocks were checked OK. Then, the TCS was HV conditioned up to 33kV.
Tomorrow, the heaters will be ramped up. |
Saturday, March 23, 2013, 18:14, Aurelia Laxdal, Conditioning Station, Development, TM4, FEBIAD HP with Dummy Target, Commissioning TCS - Part 2 Completed
|
After few hickups the TCS was successfuly commissioned.
In the morning, in the middle of the heaters conditioning: 360A/250A for the TGHT/TBHT, the target heater PS tripped and it didn't recover immediately.
I cannot tell if the card is still OK. Before this even, there were few bias current sparks created when the ionized tube was raised above 250A; this also |
