Determined on Friday April 16th that the water leak was on the coil negative circuit. This was determined by circulating water through once circuit at
the time. Only HF and GE tested (not Extraction Electrode). |

First P2N heating test ongoing.
At P2NHT ~ 570 A and TBHT ~ 100 A shine is already seen, which suggests that current is flowing in the P2N target properly, see picture attached. |

Beginning of May:
The cabling on the top of the test stand was changed to adapt for P2N testing. The TGHT and COIL PS were disconnected, and their DC cable terminals
were connected instead to the TDK-LAMBDA P2Nheaters. The configuration on top of the ITS module is the following: |

Ref: https://elog.triumf.ca/TIS/Test-Stand/924. During testing, it was noted one leg was glowing vs the other. P2N assembly was removed & inspected.
No contact or defects were found.

Target oven #45241-1 swapped out. SS bolts were in use on the legs.
Molybdenum screws in the legs on oven #44812-2. No target to ion source cup interference. 3mm gap - OK.

When the target was removed from the test stand it was discovered that the custom designed insulator stand-off (ITD0400 made from Mycroy 1100)
had swollen and become discoloured in the area exposed to "heat shine" from the target oven. See attached pdf for photos of the insulators.
The heat shield lid was opened up and the target temporarily removed to replace the two insulators that had failed. These were replaced with the |
