Entry  Tuesday, November 04, 2014, 11:05, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, ThO#1, Leak check on TM1 HS water line withThO#1 installed.

Chad and I leak checked HS line on TM1 with ThO#1 target installed. The LD pumped down to base leak rate 0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec, base leak rate 0.0xE-4 torr. The pumping down process is normal. Chad sprayed helium on both VCR joints (each for 2 seconds) , and he did a flush spray around the target for 5 seconds. No any response had been found on LD during and after the spray( 40seconds waiting time). The target is leak tight.

Entry  Thursday, November 06, 2014, 08:07, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, ThO#1, TM1 has been connected in ITW.

TM1 has been connected in ITW. All turbo pumps are started. The pumping down on ITW is good so far. The water is supplied to TM1 for HV conditioning.

Entry  Thursday, November 06, 2014, 08:55, David Wang, ITW, Repair, TM1, ThO#1, primary vacuum back up pressureITH CG1 ,CG2,CG4A were high.

I found primary vacuum back up pressure ITH CG1, CG2, and CG4A were unusually high this morning. They should be about 10 -20 mtorr after one night pumping, but all of thier reading were 340-350-mtorr. Thease cause the current draw on primary turbo pumps were all over 2.0A(should be about 1.0A). I let Paul closed all BVs on primary side . The pressure dropped quickly to normal range after all BVs were closed. This shows the back up line are good. The problem are from   one of  the connections  on primary BVs. I let Paul opened the BVs one by one,but the problem did not show again. Now ,the current draw on the turbo pumps are back to normal also.

I will keep monitoring the system and take a look on all KF25 clamps on BVs once I have a chance to access to ITW.

Dan and I transferred 5 shielding blocks from ITE to ITW. The ITW is configured to take proton beam.

Entry  Thursday, November 13, 2014, 14:01, David Wang, ITW, Repair, TM1, , I replaced flow wheel and coil on ITW MSP water flow sensor.

I replaced flow wheel and coil on ITW MSP water flow sensor which is located in ITW pit. Before replacement, I checked the signal strength and frequency form e-board on this circuit. The signal was good in 10minutes watching. Still, I replaced them. The flow sensor works fine after replacement. I made a comment  on Isac e-fault system about this issue.

Entry  Monday, March 09, 2015, 14:01, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, ThO#1, ThO#1 removed

ThO#1 has been removed from TM1 and placed into the plastic dissection box.

Containment box cover has been reinstalled as per usual.

TM#1 has been moved from the west station to the south hot cell had the ThO#1 target removed and then the modules was moved from the south hot cell to the south west silo. Also an electrical check was done on the target before it was removed.

Entry  Thursday, March 12, 2015, 13:33, Anders Mjos, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, ThO#1, Target inspection

Chad, Anders and Alex inspected the target this morning. The target had no significant visible damage to the container. Some material was deposited on the Extraction Electrode.

Entry  Monday, April 20, 2015, 10:22, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx12, TM1 with UCx12 has been connected to CS and ready for conditioing.

The TH will be locked during the TM1 conditioning time due to  an interference issue between CS HV cover and a gas analysis valve on top of TM1. A work permit has been issued for the conditioning job because of it.

Entry  Tuesday, April 21, 2015, 17:14, Isaac Earle, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, UC#12, UC#12 Installed in TM1 IMG_4836.JPGIMG_4833.JPG

On Friday April 17th, UC#12 target was installed in TM1.  One of the copper water lines was bent slightly as the target was lifted into the module which caused ~15 minute delay due to difficulty getting the VCR nut threads to engage.  Other than this the install went smoothly.

During replacement of the containment box panel two of the threaded holes were found to be stripped.  One on the top at the center, the other in the bottom right corner.  These two holes were left without fasteners (see attached photo).  It is unknown at this time whether these holes were already stripped, or if they were stripped during this installation.

Entry  Wednesday, April 22, 2015, 11:05, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, , electrical check on TM1 at CS under vacuum

I did an electrical check on TM1 at CS. The resistance check:A-B 3.918m ohm, A-C 5.905m ohm,A-D 4.070m ohm,B-C5.462m ohm,B-D3.633m ohm. They are very close to the check we did in SHC. The only unusual thing I found during the check is the ohmmeter reading between A and 60 KV common (6.2K )and the Megga reading between them  at 250 V which is 0. I repeated 4 times and always got the same readings. However, after so many times check, the Megga reading between A and 60KV   suddenly went back to normal(300 M at 250V) at the final check.  And,it stays at 300M now.  All other measurements are same as we did at SHC before.
